Teitan Elementary School, Class 1-B.
"What? Yuu transferred away?" Ayumi sounded a bit disbelieving.
"This is too sudden," Mitsuhiko said.
"Damn it, we just became good friends with Yuu," Genta said unwillingly.
"Yuu, you owe them a great deal," Conan thought to himself, seeing how reluctant they all were to let Yuu go.
Mouri Detective Agency.
"Eh? Yuu's leaving? I'll miss him a bit," Ran said, surprised by Professor Agasa's words.
"What a shame about the foster care fees," Mouri thought, drinking his beer.
…
"It seems you've truly returned to normal, Yuu," Conan said, looking at Yuu, who hadn't shown any discomfort for days. "So, what are you going to do now?"
Yuu smiled, "Anyway, I already have two doctorates, so I don't want to go to school anymore. I'll just stay at the Professor's house and do research, and while I'm at it, gather information about the Black Organization and fight against them."
"Can you go out in your current state? Won't the Organization discover you?" Conan was worried about Yuu.
Yuu looked at Conan with a bewildered expression. "Huh? Didn't I tell you? In the Organization's base, I got rid of Gin, and I took the opportunity to completely delete all my data within the Organization using his authority. Since my whole family was already killed by Gin, and there's no data of me there anymore,
the Organization can't possibly know about my existence. That's why I was discovered that time; originally, I intended to be caught on purpose, hoping they'd take me to some bigshot in the Organization so I could learn some classified information, but I didn't expect them to just give me the drug!"
Conan's face had turned black by now. He roared at Yuu, "That's enough!! How many more things are you hiding from me?! Come on, let's go outside and have a relaxed chat for three minutes!"
Seeing Conan's anger, Yuu chuckled apologetically, "Ma ma, don't be angry! I promise this is the last thing!"
Conan looked at Yuu suspiciously. "I hope that's true! By the way, since you're back to normal, do you want to see Uncle and Ran?"
Yuu paused. "Sure, Uncle Mouri has taken good care of me. I'll go back with you later then."
Ran was talking to Mouri. Hearing the sound of the door opening, she turned and said, "Conan! Why are you back so late! Oh, you're... Yuu!" Ran was surprised to see Yuu.
"What?!" Mouri also saw Yuu.
After listening to Yuu recount his experiences over the past few years (excluding his mercenary work, of course), Mouri and Ran were silent for a moment.
"It's so good that you're okay, Yuu!" Ran said happily.
"So you're back for good this time, right?" Mouri asked.
Yuu replied, "That's right. The company has assigned me to work permanently in Tokyo."
"You kid, you've become so dependable after a few years! This will make Kumi and the others very happy!" Mouri said with a smile, patting Yuu's shoulder.
Yuu joked, "I'll be visiting often from now on. Don't get tired of me!"
"Coincidentally, my dad helped write a game called 'Detective Kogoro Mouri's House of Deduction.' There's a Mandai new game presentation tomorrow at the Beika Hotel. Do you want to come along?"
Yuu was surprised. "A game Uncle helped with?"
"That's right! I'm amazing, aren't I?" Mouri said, putting his hands on his hips and laughing heartily. "Wahahahaha!!"
Beika Building, 9:00 AM.
Ran introduced the game software to Yuu and Conan: "The story is about a player encountering a murder in a mysterious mansion. With clues provided by Kogoro Mouri, who happens to be on the scene, the player eventually solves the murder case."
Conan was a bit speechless. "It's almost the same pattern I'm always solving!"
Yuu pointed at Kogoro Mouri and said to Ran, "But is it really okay? To invite Uncle to the presentation, when he's like this..."
A helpless Ran walked over to Kogoro Mouri. "It's all because he said he wanted to celebrate last night, that's why he drank himself into this state!"
Mouri's face was deathly pale. "I only had a small five or six drinks with friends, you know, Gin, plus Vodka, and Bourbon whiskey..." Mouri counted on his fingers.
Hearing those names, Conan's body visibly trembled. Yuu patted Conan's shoulder, "Kid, try to be calmer. With this kind of mentality, how are you going to fight the Black Organization?!"
"I understand!" Conan said, clenching his fists.
"Hey, Conan, stop dawdling and put your luggage in the locker!" Ran slowly walked towards the lockers, supporting Mouri.
"Okay," Conan replied.
Seeing the long queue at the lockers, Ran couldn't help but exclaim, "What a long line!"
"Of course! Almost everyone in the game software industry is here," Mouri explained impatiently.
Just then, a man in a suit walked up to Kogoro Mouri. "Mr. Mouri? It's me, Nakajima from Mandai Games. I'm the one who planned 'Detective Kogoro Mouri's House of Deduction.' The entire presentation is buzzing about this game software. After all, other game software doesn't feature a real famous detective. Thanks to you, Mr. Mouri, we were able to complete such a fantastic game software."
"No, you're the one with good judgment, for choosing me," Mouri said seriously.
"Hehe, Uncle, is it really okay for you to be so shameless?" Yuu couldn't help but secretly mock Kogoro Mouri in his heart.
"Hmph hmph hmph, you are indeed excellent, Nakajima, if you truly completed this plan," Ueda suddenly said, standing behind Nakajima.
Nakajima turned around. "Ueda..."
Ueda said to Nakajima unhappily, "Sigh, it's my fault. I shouldn't have told you that if a game software featured a great detective, it would sell big. I didn't expect you to immediately produce the game software. You're a master at stealing, whether it's work or women, right, Takeshita?" Ueda turned and said to Takeshita, who was wearing glasses.
"Hey, why are you saying this here?!" Nakajima said, displeased.
Yuu looked at the three of them speechless. "Your circle is truly chaotic. Nakajima has made enemies with two colleagues, yet they're still working together. It seems one of the three will definitely die eventually." Suddenly, Yuu noticed that Nakajima's expression was a bit off. "Looks like it's today. I'll leave it to Shinichi. Anyway, I don't care about murder cases!"
After a long wait, it was finally Kogoro Mouri and his turn. The female attendant handed Kogoro Mouri ticket number 96. "Here you go, sir, this is your number ticket."
