Chapter 61 - Chapter 60

SCP Terms

Scarlet King- Is an ancient evil god. It is hard to explain without talking to you, but basically he is an evil big 'G' God. God. Like Multiversal level god of destruction and chaos. He was part of the original creation of the whole metauniverse. His deal was that he hated life itself, believing that it was a disease. So, like any mad crazy god he destroyed the tree of life and devoured all other Gods that got in his way. So yeah. He is a big G god of destruction and chaos. Just saying his name is taboo.

Site Director- Somone who oversees the site. They approve all testing, and research for any SCPs at their sites. Think of them as the managers of that site.

[A/N: Sorry about no chapter, this got deleted, and I had to remake it. Working on 61 now, should be done by tomorrow.]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An hour in the flight over to the site and I was bored out of my mind. The only thing that I could see was the inside of a cargo plane. That got boring to look at real quick. I tried to talk to the MTF members, but none of them bothered with talking to me or hell even looking at me. They acted like I didn't exist or was some sort of crazy hazard.

I noticed some of them chatting with each other, in the time I been on the plane. I kind of felt like an oddball out of a group. I couldn't do anything, so I decided that I would look at the map of 'otherworld'. History and geography lessons were something that I had skipped over with my teacher.

I only knew that the city was in a kingdom where magic was banned. I didn't know why, or what led up to magic being banned just that it was. I also knew that there was a 'road' dirt path really, that led to the major capital of the kingdom. Now, that all the demons and monsters were cleared in my city I should probably start looking more into 'otherworld'.

How far can I explore, what monsters are out there, and is there more than one kingdom? I didn't know and plan to find out more about it. I should probably also study the bestiary, plant life and really everything related to that world. I mean it was a whole new world.

Now, that I could actually sit down for once and not focus on fighting demons. I guess that will have to be something that I talk with the Foundation about. The 'contract' right now is nothing but a verbal agreement from that woman. I didn't know how much weight she could pull, and didn't want to bet on it. For all I knew she was only at most a basic Site Director with no real pull or she could be an O-5 member/spokesperson.

Either way, one thing at a time. Now back to this. The map I was looking at was old, it didn't show actual location, just landmarks. Based on what I am seeing it looks like the city that I am at is in a corner location. To the north, and west are mountains. To the South is another city, looks like a few hills, and forest until I reach that city though. Finally, to the East is the Royal capital of the kingdom.

I will need to send Emerald and Ruby to scout the area to the south. Whatever caused this kingdom to go straight to hell, isn't something that I can take on currently. Hell for all I know this world had been taken over by the scar-…that evil god thing. Damn, don't want that on my ass.

I continued to study the map for some time longer. Marking all landmarks, important locations, and how long it would it to reach each location. A red light came on and then an announcement.

"Attention all personal, be advised we have 10 mikes until we make landfall. I repeat 10 mikes until Landfall. MTFs squad leaders ensure all members are reported and accounted for."

The MTF members started taking roll call, which was the first time in this flight I could hear all of their voices. Some of them were absolutely women, or at least dudes that sounded like chicks. The aircrew came down, and starting getting the box crates and other stuff ready for whatever.

It was cool to watch the air crew do their work. Curious I got up and walked towards one of the crew members.

"Hey"

I said to one of the crew members. He was a middle aged man, with short black hair. He had a flight crew uniform on, and was wearing that airplane crew headphones. He was getting one of the box crates ready when I had called out to him. When he turned around he look a little surprised to see me, but then went back to working like nothing happened.

"Do you need help with that?" If this was going to go like all other conversations then I can guarantee that this guy wasn't going to talk to me.

"Nah, I got it. Things a bitch and a half to get right. Damn thing. We been trying to get them to order better shit, but we keep getting denied due to lack of funding. Lack of funding my ass." He had a southern type accent to his voice.

"Oh. That sucks. I thought the Foundation was like rich and all that"

"Rich? We got a different meaning for that word then. Hear about you though, them boys from zeta nine wont stop talking about the SCP that saved their lives and all that shit."

"Really? I thought with all the agents being quiet and all that-"

"Oh them? Just them trying to act 'professional' or whatever the hell they do. Don't mean nothing by it."

I didn't get to say anything else when I noticed that three task force members coming up to us. The one leading the group came up the crew member and said.

"Skip givin ya any problems mech?"

"Nah, just asked if I needed help is all. Don't be such a pussy. If it wanted to hurt us, then I would already be dead."

"Not all skips kill you quick is all."

The task member turned to me and continued speaking.

"No offense skip, but my boys and I deal with crazy shit all the time. I got no problems with you. You help zeta, get out of there alive. Those boys get into shit, and most don't make it. The fact they got out of all that crazy shit is a plus in my books. That all being said and good I still don't trust you. Hope that doesn't hurt your feelings, rather not die or anything."

I chuckled a little, and said.

"Nah. It is all good. I don't give a rat`s ass what you think of me. To be honest I was debating whether I wanted to help you guys or not?"

He seemed interested in what I said, as he and his peers sat next where I was at. There was a silent pause, as he gestured for me to continued.

"Hmm…How do I say this, your organization isn't all good. However I cant deny that you guys literal save humanity on a daily basis. So, I figured I could get you guys to help me and I help you. All seems fair and all"

"And what could we humans help you with?"

"Hey now, I am hu-..was..nevermind. It might seem strange to you but I enjoy humanity, so I will help where I can and all that shit. As long as I am not put in a box, and left to rot away I am fine."

"Gotcha, well as long as you are like 073. Then we are good."

"I will try my best."

"ATTENTION ALL CREW AND PASSENGERS FIVE MINUTES UNTIL LAND. I REPEAT FIVE MIKES UNTIL LAND. ALL PASSENGERS GET INTO YOUR SEATS. ALL PASSENGERS INTO YOUR SEATS."

"Well, skip it was good talking to you and all. Thanks for not killing us or some other weird shit."

"No problem my guy."

The task force member got up to leave, as he started to leave his peers followed closely by him. I turned back to see that the crewmember had fix or did whatever he needed to do and was getting buckled up in one of the seats. I decided I should probably do the same thing, I couldn't die but that shit still hurt. I didn't want to slam into anything on the landing part, which would be my luck as a first impression to SCP personnel.

I knew the plane landed because I got that gut jumping feeling you get when a plane lands somewhere. We started to slow down, and as we got to a stop the air crew started talking with the task force members. I couldn't hear them with the sounds of the plane engine still running, and all but my guess was that they were explaining how they were going to exit the plane.

The engines started to die down, and the back door began to open up. I was in the further back of the plane, so when the door opened I only got to see the concrete land strip. Nothing much to look at. I unbuckled and was going to get up when I was stopped by the same crewmember I was going to help.

"Hey not you. We have to wait for your escort, don't want a skip running around the facility and all that."

"Got it. But, can I unbuckle?"

"Yes you can, but don't move from that spot."

"Gotcha."

I only took maybe two full minutes to hear that woman voice again.

"8937, Please follow me. The research staff are waiting for us."

"Cool" with that I got up and followed her out.

When I walked outside the plane, I was greeted by the smell of an autobody shop. There were crew members transporting box crates, and other materials around. Some of them were working on the airplanes that were stationed nearby. The task force members were taking roll calls. Which was them standing in formation, and their team leader calling their names. Some SCP personnel were in the corner smoking cigarettes or whatever else.

It was strange to see honestly. I always thought that the foundation was this massive, super military organization. But, looking around some of the personnel were a little overweight and others looked bored out of their minds. It wasn't what I was expecting that was for sure.

"Come with me 8937. We need to get you processed, interviewed, and your medically exam done."

As she said that I continued to follow her out.
