Chapter 46 - Chapter 46

I didn't get any more information or knowledge from my teacher. He just kept saying that I would grow, or that I needed to study. He didn't know the future like I did, he didn't understand the hell, the literal apocalypses that would happen. ApocalypseS as in pural! I could fucking walk outside right now and die due to a containment breach or lord forbidden something going wrong.

How many times did the world end already? Best not to think about it….

My feet took me down the library halls, passing the massive, towering bookshelves. Each bookshelf containing who know how many books each. The workers were organizing and cleaning each one. I knew where to go, or at least somewhat.

The demonology books were further down the way. The books went from calmer magic like light spells to darker, and darker magic as I went down the corridor. I got to the end of it.

There was only one small bookshelf on demonologist field of study. This include the types of demons, their behaviors, habitat, how to summon them, and…how to graft them.

The section of the library looked evil, like a classic room evil where each of the books that lined the shelves were made from human skin and would turn you into a mad crazy lunatic evil.

I stopped just by the human skin books, and starting thinking again. I needed power this would help me. What would the cost of this power be? I could fight back, I had a strong enough soul right?

I felt so indecisive about this choice. I thought it would be easy to pick it up and learn it. To hell with what my teacher said. Here in the now though…I didn't know. This wasn't an easy thing, this was me trying to not only summon a demon but fight it and make it forever part of my body.

The change would be permanent I wouldn't be human..if I ever was to begin with. Would I lose my sense of self. Would I-…..The pros and cons played out in my head. I was trying to view this from a logical perspective.

Nothing would probably happen for years down the road. During that time I would be much stronger..due to actually growing up. Not only that but who`s to say that the SCP foundation actually gets me. I could just as easily change my face. I take out cash, change my face and just live normally.

They wouldn't find me, I would just constantly change. Maybe change genders, or something like that to throw them off. I could do it, it would hurt a lot but I could do it. Did I really need to reach out and read these books? I always thought…in my younger edgelord anime phase that this would be the stuff I would leap for. Giving me the chance to control and summon demonic monsters…SIGN ME UP! Now though having dealt with those monsters..looked them in the eyes, and looking at these book. I don't know, something about it just didn't sit well with me.

On the other hand, having this would be a fail safe for me. It would help me with killing those monsters.

I just didn't know what to do, and it was starting to frustrate me. Demons or no demons.

I was getting no where with this, so I decided to do the thing that always helped me in this time of crisis. Flip a coin. I didn't have a coin but that wouldn't be a problem

"Hey. Yes you. Get me a coin." The little creature ran off and came back not too long after. In it`s little 'hands' was an gold coin. It was a poorly shaped circle coin, with the head of I assume a king and the tail side was that of a decorative shield. I held it in my hands, and spoke aloud.

"Okay…heads demons…tails no demons…coin you are it" The coin flipped in the air, I grabbed it and quickly covered it up. I didn't know what side it had landed on and was a little nervous about the results. It was like taking an exam, and wondering if your grade would stay the same, get better or drop to the point where you would need to take that class again.

The coin Gods have spoken, heads is the verdict. I guess I will be reading this human skin book, which is written in…I filed open the book to one random page..blood, because why not.

The book I had grabbed was on basic demonology. Starting with what demons were, how they were classified as demons and not just monsters. It also listed their ranks, what they did, how they did it and weaknesses. Which boiled down to 'light' or 'holy' magic.

The book did go in depth on the demons though, which was the only thing I needed to know. Demons were classified as demons because One they were of spiritual nature, they were spirits given actual physical form on this plane of existence. They didn't reproduce, didn't need to eat anything and could survive anywhere. They simply were and always was. However, each species had its own unique development. Some had heightened senses, or strong physical traits and others had mental abilities that. All that concluded they were perfect for killing, destroying, and bring fear and chaos to anyone.

Two demons developed through consuming other spirits. They feed off the fear, and other negative emotions of a spirit. Which was why in most cases a demon wouldn't leave you alone. You were their mobile food on wheels, feeding off your suffering. It allowed them to grow overtime which would lead to their development.

Demons developed very quickly based on their environment, with enough 'food' they would grow rapidly, only stopping when there was no 'food' left. This in turn would lead to them eating each other.

Most demons were simple-minded, their only thoughts being on 'evolution' or other instincts. However higher named demons were different. They would seek out a purpose, or something similar. They could talk, and had servants…He, the one I saw that day was a higher demon.

Finally, third demons always followed laid out rules. A demon couldn't back out on a deal or some form of agreement. The research notes stated that even a simple demon, when place in a non-aggressive contract wouldn't act against the person, they signed the contract with. Even if that person physical or other way abused said demon.

The author and his colleagues theorized that this was to help the overall demon population. When a new demon was made, they needed to have some form of structure to prevent total chaos and anarchy. However, ultimately no one really knew why demons followed their contracts with such resilience. Hell, if you could get a demon to sign a contract to give you a blowjob every Tuesday that didn't involve any physical or mental harm. Then congratulations you got a free blowjob every Tuesday on the dot, even if you died, teleported to a different location it didn't matter. The demon would seek you out, and complete said contract until it died or…until it died.

The author listed out all the pros of actually having demon servants, saying that they were loyal, and obey all commands given. That is if you could get them to sign that kind of contract. Demons had a way to understand all of what the contract entailed, even if they didn't know the language. Getting that demon blowjob would only come to past if you got said demon to want to do that every Tuesday.

The author was bias on this topic for obvious reasons, and I could see that this wasn't a very…well regarded branch of study.

The other books were on the topic I wanted to know about the most…Grafting.

The grafting was as teacher had already told me. It was grafting part of a demon's physical form to you through flesh. This would in turn bond the demon to you, giving you a master/servant contract. The problem was that to do it, you needed to defeat said demon. Not only that but grafting something on you didn't come without side effects. That being that the demon`s being would bleed into you, causing you to have fits of rage, violence and other such things.

It would slowly turn you into something not human anymore, which was why the pictures of archwizard who specialized in demonology field look like straight horror movie monsters. It was something only high level…or desperate people did.

'I could start at a low-level demon, evolute it and have it be the primary in my body? Would that even work though.'

Skimming through the other books I found the topic on demon hierarchy. Which list basically the demons that roamed around in this place, the only exception being the ones that I saw in the castle that day. I tried to reference what low level demon graft did to the user.

'Let`s see the rat would give me increased speed and hearing-no not worth it'

'Flesh hand would increase my flesh manipulation abilities-no I already have that'

'Think Max think what do I want and need. I need something that will help me get stronger something that will grow stronger with me. A pack animal, with that I could have it`s servants bring me books anytime I wanted. Yeah..yeah..Okay so I will need to get one of the small hellhounds here and graft it. Grafting that will get me….oh I can get either increase sense of smell and increase muscle development or…I can get a voice?'

'Let`s see. Let`s see what is there about a ….HA..voice. Okay. Voice allows user to summon grafted demon`s pack, and can be used to assist in the mental subjugation of a humanoid. Humanoid will be more likely to listen and follow user`s command, Note this is different from the 'Incubus' family please see ref-blahblah'

'That sounds nice, well I don't see any side effects for that. Fuck it Balls deep. What does that shadow hunter do? Shadow hunter…shadow hunter..where are YOU! Here. So. Wraith hunter, guess you aren't a shadow hunter, so they hunt and feed off the suffering. No, I don't and shouldn't graft a bunch of demons to me'

'Maybe…the wolf and..him..Speaking of which. Hmm..no..no..not there…nothing here…Ha. Description matches perfectly long arms, slender body structure, makes you petrified with fear even the picture matches up. Now..you are called dream-stalker..doesnt that sound nice. Okay and you..eat the dreams of other`s, cause misfortune on your target, and are also able to control souls. Damn that is a lot. If I want all of that..then…I will…need to…okay here it is. To take more than one ability of the graft demon you must defeat said demon again. Each graft ritual can only be used once for one ability and one body part. Hmm…'

'I got a full thing going for me. I shouldn't get ahead of myself, small steps. First I need to get that wolf, and then go from there'.

I closed the books I was reading and decided to head out. The ritual was familiar easy to make, the problem was getting the right demon into it. I guess I could make a trap, and do it like that. I just hope the Foundation doesn't ruin this for me, that would be a fucking buzz kill.

I need some supplies first. The Grafting ritual will need a sharp knife for blood, and other materials. Making my way through I was able to collect all the supplies I needed. Now moment of truth.

I went outside, which hadnt gotten dark yet and decided to trap a demonic wolf.
