A few days passed without any major incident – mostly because I didn't go outside and just stayed with Laura playing a game called Mintak, it was basically Monopoly but with special effects any time you won a round.
Anyways, we eventually decided to go out, but I had to activate all my skills – except for magic fingers obviously, still don't know why I was given that pervy skill.
We made our way to the goblin surroundings after a few hours – most of our time were spent evading potential suspects that could be out for my life so yeah.
Crouching under a branch, I shifted a patch of leaves and my breath caught in my throat as I saw the creature that I longed for.....wait that sounded weird.
"It's beautiful". I covered my mouth with both hands as tears gathered at the corner of my eyes.
Green skin, long ears, angular face, sharp teeth, it was a stereotypical goblin – one of the few things that were as described in my novels.
"You sound like a creep". Laura responded with her trademark snarky tone.
"Tsk, you just don't understand beauty". Clicking my tongue in response, I licked my lips as I stared at the ignorant goblin breaking a large coconut – looking fruit.
'I think I understand how those science creeps back on earth felt when they discovered some new species'. Shaking my head to get rid of the weird thought, I brought out my scythe from my storage ring and infused a little amount of mana which caused the runes to glow with a dim blue hue.
"COWABUNGAAA!!!". Launching my self with the branch, I threw my scythe backwards and swung at the unsuspecting goblin with a wide smile on my face.
*Kekergh?* *Keerrghh!* (Translation: huh?, noooo!!)
*Slice*
Before the goblin could say it's last words, he was tragically killed with a scythe cutting his body in two.
Green blood flowed from the dissected part of the goblin and dyed the ground with a dull green colour.
"It's just as I expected". Crouching, I examined the blood from the goblin with a serious expression.
"They've got green blood!, my elite ball knowledge wasn't wasted after all". With a cackle, I sliced off the head of the goblin and placed it in my storage ring.
Laura looked at me speechlessly.
"Tsk, don't look at me like I'm some creep". I muttered with a disgruntled expression as I moved deeper in the forest.
"Aren't you though?". She responded with a repulsed expression as she followed me mid air.
"And you kissed this creep twice!". I responded with my hand on my lips that had a teasing smile.
"How shameless!". Laura responded with a blush.
Having my fill of laughter, we walked deeper into the forest which was closer to the goblin habitat and found three other goblins that looked like they were talking about something.
*Kekergh* *Keirggh* *Kergg?* (Translation: he's the boss, for sure, really?)
"These low lifes can talk too, huh". I said lowly as I crouched behind a bush.
"Now that's just racist". Laura responded with her arms crossed.
Ignoring her, I walked out calmly and walked right behind them and swung my scythe with a neutral expression.
Their blood spilled from their necks like a fountain, part of it spilling on the side of my face and clothes.
"Say Laura, how about we go to the hunters guild and make some extra cash?". Storing the goblin heads in my storage unit, I suggested the idea to Laura who was staying unnaturally far from me.
With her arms crossed, she answered, "Yeah, some extra cash wouldn't hurt – even though you're being stingy with the plenty you already have".
"It's called being resourceful!". I retorted with a disgruntled expression as I made my way closer to the goblin's home.
"Being resourceful doesn't mean you have to wear the same clothes everyday!". She responded whole flying behind me.
"I'm comfortable with the few I have, thank you very much". I responded with a straight face.
"Who cares about you?, I'm talking about myself!, this beauty needs to be flaunted with different outfits!". Laura screamed.
'Sounds like someone's girlfriend somewhere'. A thought crossed my mind as I rolled my eyes.
"No one can even see you apart from me ". I responded as I hid behind a tree and watched the goblins go about their daily life.
"Who cares?, at least I can look at myself in the mirror all day long". With her chest puffed, she answered.
"Narcissist". I grumbled
"It's confidence, peasant". She responded with a snap of her fingers.
"Fine, we'll go to the clothing store after we visit the hunter's guild". My heart bled in advance as I imagined the amount of money I would lose.
"Perfect, now let's kill these green monsters and get on with it". She responded with a glint in her eyes.
'I guess all women love clothes no matter the universe'. With a light chuckle, I hid behind their watch tower and Laura flew upwards to take out the guard.
Climbing to the top to get a good view of the surroundings, I realized that it wasn't as large as I imagined, 'Was it orcs that lived in large numbers?'. I mused as I counted the number of poorly built houses internally.
"Okay, they're a little over 30 houses here so let's get on with it". Placing my hands on the railing, I analysed carefully.
"I'll take the left wing, you take the right". Laura suggested as she flew to her self designated spot.
"I didn't agree though". I grumbled and jumped down, directly landing on an unsuspecting goblin and breaking his neck.
"Good day, foolish mortals, I have come to reap your pitiful lives, be grateful, for your redemption has arrived!!". I spoke with a wide smile on my face as I sliced the first goblin cleanly.
*Kieergh!* *keekeeekee* (Translation: Crazy human!, kill him!)
With a wide smile, I ran forward and reaped the lives of the incoming goblins like the grim reaper.
'I wonder why I'm not so scared as I was before'. I wondered as I cleaved the heads of the goblins and stored them in my storage ring.
'Maybe because I've been through far worse shit that some green freaks is nothing to me now.'
Continuing the one sided slaughter, I entered a wide field that looked like a training ground of some sorts.
"Finally, a worthy opponent!!". With a cackle, I examined the goblin before me.
Tall, well built with a cheetah patterned fur draped over it's body and scars that told it's fair share of stories, he looked more like an orc than a goblin to be honest.
"You must be the boss of these creatures, oh and and you're D– rank, impressive". I appraised as I walked slowly to the emotionless goblin king.
I was going to fight someone who was two ranks above me, crazy right?, of course it was!, sure I might be arrogant by thinking I could defeat him but you'll never know until you try right?.
Gambling all my aura, I dashed forward to the still standing goblin and swung my scythe horizontally after infusing forty percent of my mana.
*Clink*
"Eh?". A weird sound came out of my mouth as I stared at the unaffected goblin staring at me with it's red eyes that I belatedly noticed.
Extending it's large arm, it grabbed my face squarely and slammed me into the ground, causing it to crack noticeably.
*Kwhaaakk*
I lost my breath for a moment as I made impact with the ground, with my vision still blurred by the callused hands of the goblin king, I was lifted up once more and slammed into the ground, but this time I was prepared as I coated my body with a mana shield that I had learned pain stakingly over the past few days I spent at the inn with Laura.
Hm?, surprised I didn't just play Monopoly?, of course I didn't, you dumbass!!!, I trained my mana manipulation skills and made some improvements in the magic department too!, allow me to demonstrate.
Using the rebound from the mana impact, I jumped back with a skid and wiped the dirt from my face as I stared at the goblin king who I could swear had a smug smile on his face.
'I'll wipe that smile of your face, you dumb creature'.

Skill [Lamantar's Lightning lvl.2] is in use!
Mana capacity of the host is sufficient to cast the spell.
Remark: Odin!!!!

Raising my scythe upwards, I muttered the spell I learnt from Laura.
"Astrapeios kai Keraunos, hêdyn ton ouranon, dêson ton dichon, ekche ton dýnamin mou!!!"
The clouds gathered and average sized lightning bolts formed in the sky, before being chanelled into my scythe.
The goblin king finally showed a reaction as he noticed the changed in surroundings and launched towards me with fierce intensity to end my spell forcefully and cause me to have a mana backlash.
"Oh no you don't, you freak!". Pointing my scythe at him, yellow lightning sparks formed all around it before converging at the curved part of the blade and a large lightning bolt shot outwards at the goblin king who was already at close range, giving him no chance to dodge.
*BOOM* *CRACKLE*
The lightning strike was so powerful that it charred the goblin and the recoil threw me backwards, causing me to do a badass backflip and landing with a skid by mistake.
"Plus ten thousand aura gained". I muttered with a calm expression as I stared at the half dead goblin.
"You're probably regretting messing with me now, huh". Crouching and staring at it's unrecognizable face, I said smugly, "You only got one hit in and I ended you with one attack".
Extending two of my fingers forward, I poked it's two eyes. Now you'll probably be wondering why I did that, since it was basically kicking the enemy while he was down.
My answer.
Who cares?!!!
*Kekergh* *Kieekhh*
It eventually managed to get a few last words out, probably the pain of it's eyes being poked – causing him to jolt back to reality, but we'll never know.
"I don't speak goblin, you lowlife". With a disgusted expression, I stood up and swung my scythe at the chest of the goblin, putting an end to it's miserable life.

Remark: You're racist!!!

"Heh, just as I planned". With a smug smile, I studied the system interface, ignoring the obviously false remark by the system.
Almost at the same time, Laura returned with an annoyed expression on her face,"What were you doing all this while?, I was done hours ago!".
"Calm yourself woman!" I responded.
Two minutes later, my face was filled with bruises as I sat on a rock, tending to my injuries with a wronged expression, 'Note to self, never call Laura woman like that ever again'.
"Hmph, here's the core, now let's get these heads to the hunter's guild and earn some sweet shopping money~~". With a cheerful smile on her face, she tossed me an orange core and healed my face.
"Tsk, calm down Laura". Standing up with a click of my tongue, I put in the rest of the heads of the now extinct goblin village into my storage ring and we made our way to the hunter's guild which was approximately one hour away from here.
On the way back, we made small talk – well it was mostly Laura clamoring about which dresses she would buy and the colour she liked them in, but all in all it was a normal experience.
Approaching the two storied building with a large sign that read, 'The bounty', we walked in after inspecting the surroundings for any unwanted disasters.
Paranoid?.
Of course not!.
Cautious is a more appropriate word.
Walking in, I attracted the gazes of the men who had scars on their faces while drinking beer out of large wooden cups.
'Yup, just as you'd expect an average hunter's guild'. I nodded inwardly as I saw the bloodlust they gave off unintentionally as they stared at my direction.
Was I scared?
This time, I wasn't...okay maybe a little bit, but not as I would have been before.
'These guys look like they want to rip out your face'. Laura commented with a chuckle.
With a wry smile, I walked to the counter and dropped my storage ring on top of the table with a polite smile.
A beautiful woman who had long green hair and emerald eyes and a purple pendant resting on her neck addressed me with a curt nod.
"Hi, I would like to submit these goblin heads for the reward". I started, with a polite smile.
"Who does this pretty boy think he is?, hi, I would myike to submit goblin heads for a wewardd". A tall gruff looking man mimicked as he rocked in his chair with laughter which earned a bour of laughter goe everyone.
'Sigh, the struggles of being handsome'. I thought with a sad expression as I tear ran down my face intentionally.
"May I inspect the bounty?". The receptionist – clearly unfazed by the treatment I was given asked for the storage rings with her hands outstretched.
"Sure". With a nod, I handed her my storage ring alongside Laura's. After a moment of inspection, her eyebrows raised in undisguised surprise as she looked at me like I was a monster.
"But how?" She mumbled under her breath as she inspected the 30 or more heads that were stored in my ring.
With a smug smile on my face, I asked innocently, "is anything the matter?"
"N–no, please follow me inside". She gestured to the manager's office politely, causing gasps of surprise to come from the mouths of the people there.
Walking into the manager's office with a neutral expression, the parlor fell into a deafening silence, 'That's right losers, be in awe of my presence, bwhahahaha'. I laughed inwardly.
'Hey, Arrogant butt head, just know I'm getting eight percent of that prize money". Laura butted in, dampening my excitement.
'I worked too....'. I grumbled internally.
'Did you say something?'. She asked with a smile on her face.
'N–no?'. I answered hesitantly as entered the well furnished office with an old man sitting at the executive seat with an amiable smile on his face.
'Good'. She responded with a satisfied voice.
Back at the parlor:
"D–did Mora just bow to that F ranked kid?". A man asked in surprise as he finally came to his senses.
"I–is he some kind of bigshot?". The man who ridiculed Clark asked hesitantly as sweat ran down his back.
"You're dead meat if he is, Drok". One of the men answered with a schadenfreude smile plastered on his face.
"Oh...uhmm.....I've got somewhere to be, see you guys tomorrow yeah?". Drok ran out of the guild with a speed that was uncanny for his size.
The other men drank their beer with unreadable expressions.
"Welcome to the bounty, Mr....?". Taking my seat with the receptionist behind me who had a neutral expression, the amiable looking old man spoke with a small smile.
"Clark". I answered calmly.
"Yes, Mr Clark, let us begin negotiations shall we?". The old man spoke.
"Of course". I responded calmly.
'Time for my negotiation skills to come into play'.
I smiled inwardly as I leaned foward on the mahogany table in anticipation.
