Naruto had long since developed a breakthrough system for advancing into the Super Kage Level—a method that permanently integrated Natural Energy into a shinobi's body. Unlike temporary Sage Mode, this was a complete sublimation of chakra. Natural Energy merged with one's physical and spiritual power, drastically amplifying combat ability.
This new path refined the body, enhanced chakra quality, and even provided training methods specifically tailored for the Super Kage realm.
Most importantly, it alleviated one of the greatest hidden flaws of ninjutsu.
Ordinary chakra extraction required fusing spiritual and physical energies—essentially burning through one's cellular vitality. Every jutsu the shinobi world used shortened lifespan. Only a handful of unique individuals escaped this fate.
With Natural Energy woven into their bodies, the wear and tear slowed dramatically. Lifespans increased naturally.
A Super Kage Level shinobi could now live around 150 years.
It was still far less than practitioners of pure martial arts—those who strengthened their bodies, cultivated blood and vitality, and refined their inner essence. But even so, shinobi gained a path that balanced strength and longevity.
Both systems had their own merits.
With the old Tsuchikage retired, Kurotsuchi now stood among the mid–high-level leaders of the current shinobi world. Naruto showed no favoritism based on former ranks or titles.
The former Raikage, although no longer holding his old position after the dissolution of the Village system, remained a formidable figure—respected, experienced, and trusted by countless people. His authority was not something gained by brute strength alone.
So when Future Sasuke announced that the future had lost, the shock spreading through the room was universal.
It wasn't just shinobi who had grown stronger in the past few years—technology had exploded alongside them. With the entire shinobi world unified and sharing resources, development surged.
They now had:
Energy weapons capable of killing Super Kage-Level shinobi
Stable spatial transmission technology
Global exploration programs
Confirmation that the known shinobi continent was only one region of a vast planet
But for the sake of stability, Naruto chose not to expand further yet. Only after the Three-Year Plan would those projects resume.
Future Sasuke ignored the growing commotion and continued speaking with grave calmness.
"About ten years from now," he said, "after we defeated Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, the Ōtsutsuki Clan sensed his death and sent several operatives to the Ninja World."
"Those early invaders were all eliminated. That made us arrogant. We believed the Ōtsutsuki weren't worth fearing."
His eyes darkened.
"But then the true elites of the Ōtsutsuki Clan arrived."
"This one—Ōtsutsuki Bushiki—was said to have consumed over a hundred God Tree fruits."
The room fell silent.
"The moment he acted, the entire Ninja World trembled. The Wind Capital was reduced to smoking ruins. Gaara, who commanded the Wind Capital, died in battle."
Gasps spread through the hall.
"We fought Ōtsutsuki Bushiki for three days and three nights. He was heavily wounded and attempted to flee."
"Naruto killed him… outside the heavens."
Future Sasuke's gaze dimmed with painful memories.
Mei Terumī stepped forward. Her voice was steady, but her eyes were sharp.
"According to your story, even though we paid a heavy price, we still won. So why do you say we lost? Did an even stronger enemy appear?"
Future Sasuke looked at her—and for a moment, his expression froze. A deeper sorrow flickered beneath his calm exterior.
Only he knew.
In the future, Mei Terumī and Shisui eventually became a couple.
Only he remembered how Mei died—sacrificing her life to block a fatal attack aimed at him… and how Shisui had already fallen long before that, during a time when nine out of ten shinobi had perished.
Even with more than ten warriors possessing Six Paths-level power, they still failed.
He exhaled slowly.
"That's right. An even more terrifying existence arrived. After Bushiki's death, the true Ōtsutsuki higher-ups made their move."
"The one who descended was named Ōtsutsuki God-Style."
"A being far more fearsome than Bushiki."
"Lady Tsunade died in battle. Jiraiya-sensei died. Even the First Hokage and other resurrected legends were brutally slaughtered."
The atmosphere tightened until breathing felt difficult.
"The entire Ninja World became scarred beyond recognition. The true battlefield was no longer the planet—it was the starry sky itself."
"Blood and tears drowned our world. Orochimaru-sensei vanished. Gods and demons surrounded us."
"This… is the future Ninja World."
Future Sasuke finished speaking, and a suffocating silence engulfed everyone present.
Naruto finally spoke, brows furrowed.
"Gods and demons surrounding us? Sasuke… are you saying our future enemies aren't just the Ōtsutsuki?"
His calm expression wavered for the first time.
And the room waited for Sasuke's answer.
Looking at his son—so similar to the Boruto from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations—Naruto immediately understood.
Boruto was indeed born in this future.
But unlike the Boruto from the anime, this boy carried a steadiness and maturity far beyond his age. His upbringing had clearly been shaped by a much harsher world.
Future Sasuke lowered his gaze.
"I'm sorry, Naruto."
His voice trembled slightly; tears glimmered at the corners of his eyes.
"Our enemies are not just the Ōtsutsuki Clan. At first, we were able to repel the Ōtsutsuki who came. But once Ōtsutsuki God-Style intervened… the defeats began. One after another."
He continued, his tone deep and heavy.
"In the future, we constructed a massive Spirit Gathering Array—a colossal formation that pulled Natural Energy from the void, enriching the entire Ninja World."
"More and more shinobi began cultivating with Natural Energy. At first, it seemed endless. But the more we drew upon it, the more we noticed fluctuations—signs that the supply wouldn't last forever."
"So we expanded the Spirit Gathering Array even further."
Future Sasuke's expression darkened.
"That was what caught the attention of… others in the universe."
"And that wasn't even the worst part."
"Eight years later," Sasuke continued, "Naruto comprehended the Six Paths of Reincarnation based on the structure of the Pure Land. He established the Underworld, regulating the souls of the dead and perfecting the Pure Land's order."
"This was acknowledged by the World Will, which then condensed a Reincarnation Mark."
"That phenomenon drew the attention of a terrifying clan—the Shinigami Clan, the Death God Clan."
"Their authority over death and reincarnation was threatened. We encroached on their domain."
He paused.
"I only survived because I mastered a portion of reincarnation authority myself and further perfected my Rinnegan abilities. The Rinnegan of the Ōtsutsuki is naturally compatible with the Underworld's functions—second only to the Death God Clan."
This, too, was why Ōtsutsuki God-Style struck without hesitation.
Because of these cosmic entanglements, the Ninja World—which could have lasted longer—collapsed within two years of brutal warfare. Various factions across the universe took interest in the planet, and under multilateral pressure, the world was carved apart like spoils of war.
"In the future, Naruto and Ōtsutsuki God-Style fought a battle… one that spanned the starry sky itself."
"In all of the Ninja World, the only one able to withstand him was Naruto."
"Although Naruto was slightly weaker in raw power, he had already developed an immortal body—utterly unkillable, able to regenerate from even a single drop of blood."
"Unable to kill him, the Shinigami Clan's experts used a supreme sealing technique—the Yama Infinite Sealing Technique—and sealed Naruto away for eternity."
Sasuke clenched his fist.
"Once Naruto was sealed… we lost our final pillar. The Ninja World fell apart. Survivors scattered, fighting desperately, hiding, running."
"The world was cut apart and divided like a cake."
"The former Land of Rain was reduced to a garbage dump. Countless people hid among mountains of refuse just to avoid being slaughtered."
"Kakashi-sensei used Kamui to pull as many people as he could into the other dimension—one of the last refuges of hope."
"Orochimaru-senpai said he was going to search for a way to defeat the Ōtsutsuki Clan… then disappeared in the Ghost Capital. No one ever saw him again."
At the end of his narration, Future Sasuke cast a wide genjutsu, projecting images of that ruined future into everyone's minds.
Blood. Smoke. Fire. Screams.
A world drenched in despair.
The vision crushed the room beneath its weight—an apocalypse laid bare.
It was the ultimate despair.
The future they were headed toward.
