'Damn it all, not again. I WAS SO CLOSE TO STOPPING HIM AGAIN. DAMN IT. THEY ALL DIED AGAIN, AND NOW EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ERASED AGAIN. DAMNN ITT.'
"Ha, well fought, Horacio," declared a voice from behind me. "Go ahead, Nero, you wanted this, right? You wanted to kill me. Do it," my breath was shaky, and my vision blurred.
The golden rays of dawn struck through my drooping eyes.
"I'll be sure to give you an honourable death, if that's your wish—"
"JUST DO IT ALREADY, DAMN IT," Nero raised his black blade at my request without hesitation. I knew a wicked smile, that of a devil, appeared on his face at that moment.
The blade swung down in an arc; it felt so slow. Like the Rulers were letting me use this time to think of my whole life. They don't even know the pain I've gone through. Living again, and again, just to die in the end. I'd tried doing everything to change the end. But no matter what, I always failed.
Sorry, Reina. I failed to save you again, and the multiverse…
My vision went black—the familiar surroundings of the black void. I've seen it so much that I craved to ascend into the afterlife now, of course, if there is one—is there?
Then, I'm met with something which I've never seen before when going through the restart process. Memories of all of my lives, including my current one… Slowly being erased from the depths of my mind.
Is this truly the end? Can I finally move on to the afterlife?
A blinding white light replaced the black nothingness. My eyelids shut in response to the light.
