Universe 10
Inside the Observation Room.
At that moment, another person appeared in the room.
Jiren-Zamasu stepped out from behind the others.
Just like Toppo-Zamasu earlier, he entered everyone's view with a totally defeated expression.
"..."
Jiren-Zamasu remained silent, knowing full well that he had messed up.
Zamasu did not blame him. Instead, Rumsshi was the one who immediately crossed his arms and questioned him.
"What the hell was that?! This is the guy you said was way stronger than you?" Rumsshi roared, glaring fiercely at Toppo-Zamasu.
Feeling that he was entirely in the wrong, Jiren-Zamasu chose not to speak.
Toppo-Zamasu, who had previously praised Jiren-Zamasu, lowered his head once again in shame. But at that moment, the monitor screen changed.
Both Toppo-Zamasu and Jiren-Zamasu immediately looked up.
On the Forest Module, Monaka-Zamasu was now confronting Son Goten and Bulla.
"Lord Rumsshi, I guarantee it! This time, there absolutely won't be any problems!" Toppo patted his chest and declared with total confidence.
Rumsshi cast a highly suspicious glance back at the screen.
All he saw was a short figure dressed in baggy black robes.
Confusion once again filled his mind.
"Are you serious?"
Toppo-Zamasu nodded repeatedly and explained with complete seriousness:
"Lord Rumsshi, this one is no ordinary person. He's even stronger than both Jiren-Zamasu and me!"
"He is someone whom Beerus himself acknowledged as the Number One in the Universe! And in that parallel universe… Beerus said he's even stronger than Son Goku! He's the Number One of Universe 7!"
Toppo-Zamasu boasted so confidently that even the Angel Kusu was momentarily taken aback.
"Is that really true?" Kusu asked, her eyes full of doubt. She simply couldn't see anything about Monaka that seemed worthy of such expectations.
Toppo-Zamasu immediately reaffirmed:
"Absolutely true. Beerus admitted it himself. If you don't believe me, you can ask Jiren-Zamasu."
As he spoke, Toppo-Zamasu nudged Jiren-Zamasu behind him, signaling for him to say something.
However, Jiren-Zamasu remained skeptical and merely replied:
"Don't ask me. I'm not from the same universe as him." Toppo-Zamasu helplessly spread his hands and said: "Then let him prove it to us with his actions!"
Bang…!
A sudden noise came from the screen, bringing everyone's conversation to an abrupt halt.
To their shock, Monaka had been sent flying by a single punch from Son Goten! His black robe fell away from his body, revealing a physique as skinny as a bamboo pole.
There wasn't the slightest aura of a powerful fighter about him.
Other than that, the most noticeable things were the two protruding nipples on his chest.
With just one punch, Monaka was knocked flat onto the ground and immediately lost consciousness.
This sudden turn of events left Universe 10's Observation Room completely silent.
The entire room fell quiet, though the dominant emotion was pure astonishment.
They were astonished because the so-called "Number One in the Universe" that Toppo-Zamasu had been bragging about turned out to be incredibly fragile.
"Hey! You'd better give me a proper explanation for this right now!!!"
A furious roar shattered the silence.
God of Destruction Rumsshi was so angry that smoke practically seemed to come out of his nostrils as he loudly berated Toppo-Zamasu.
"This is the Number One in the Universe you were talking about?! What Number One? Number One in protruding nipples?!"
At this point, Toppo-Zamasu could no longer save face at all.
The events had unfolded completely differently from what he had expected.
The so-called Number One in the Universe had turned out to be unbelievably weak.
Toppo-Zamasu shook his head.
"How could this happen?!"
Meanwhile, Jiren-Zamasu was secretly relieved that he had not echoed Toppo-Zamasu's claims earlier.
Although he knew Monaka-Zamasu had quite a reputation, he had always remained skeptical.
"If you keep spouting this nonsense, do you want to see if I'll destroy you?!" Rumsshi warned Toppo-Zamasu.
At this moment, however, the mastermind orchestrating everything, Zamasu, kept his lips tightly sealed and said nothing.
His already gloomy face had darkened even further, as black as the bottom of a pot.
After all, Monaka-Zamasu had indeed been personally selected by him. With things ending up like this, how could he not bear some responsibility?
Back during the selection process, this guy had enthusiastically volunteered himself, swearing that he was the Number One in the Universe and even claiming to have been personally acknowledged by God of Destruction Beerus.
After hearing that, Zamasu had selected him almost immediately, without giving the matter much thought.
Who could have imagined that the fellow would end up humiliating himself so thoroughly?
At this moment, Zamasu felt his face burning with embarrassment. Any sense of dignity he had left was long gone.
Fortunately, Toppo-Zamasu was right here.
He could just shift the blame onto him.
Having made up his mind, Zamasu immediately put on a flattering smile, bowed deeply toward Lord Rumsshi, and said apologetically:
"My sincerest apologies, Lord Rumsshi! Monaka-Zamasu's participation was entirely an accident."
"In truth, I was misled by Toppo-Zamasu's words, which is why I foolishly chose Monaka-Zamasu."
The moment those words left his mouth, Toppo-Zamasu's body trembled violently.
He was just about to defend himself when Zamasu suddenly shot him a vicious glare.
The look left Toppo-Zamasu completely speechless.
Not another word came out of his mouth.
Instantly, he became completely obedient and no longer dared make a sound.
"However, Lord Rumsshi, Universe 7 wasn't represented only by Monaka."
As he spoke, Zamasu turned his gaze back toward the screen.
Forest Module
Son Goten quickly walked over to the unconscious Monaka-Zamasu.
Bulla followed closely behind.
"Isn't this Number One in the Universe a little too weak?" Bulla said as she crouched down and poked the protruding bumps on Monaka's chest with her finger.
"Then what should we do now, Sister Bulla?"
"Throw him off the arena?"
Goten suggested.
Bulla nodded, thinking it was a reasonable idea.
So Goten prepared to hoist Monaka-Zamasu onto his shoulder and toss him out of the ring.
But at that moment, two figures appeared in the sky above.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Two energy beams shot down from the heavens, streaking across the ground right at Goten and Bulla's feet.
The two immediately leaped away, forced to distance themselves from Monaka-Zamasu.
"You'd better stay away from that piece of trash."
A voice that both Bulla and Son Goten knew all too well echoed from atop a towering tree.
A dark figure stood proudly at its summit.
That tone of voice, and that familiar sound, were things Bulla and Goten would never forget for as long as they lived.
A grin spread across Bulla's face as she said teasingly:
"Goten, my hands are starting to itch. Looks like we've run into an old acquaintance."
Goten nodded slightly and cracked his knuckles, his spirits rising.
"Me too, Sister Bulla."
