Kael and the trio arrived at the Hunter Mall, heading straight for the shop that specialized in selling skillstones.
The moment they stepped inside, a familiar voice greeted him.
It was Lucy the saleswoman who had ignored him before. She clearly didn't recognize him now. To her, this was just another customer… not the overweight guy she once brushed off without a second thought.
"Uhmm, I have a salesperson I'd like to work with," Kael said casually. "Where's Kath?"
Lucy blinked. "You… know Kath?"
"Tch… that bitch," Lucy muttered under her breath, her smile twitching. With forced politeness, she signaled another staff member. "Go call Kath."
It didn't take long before Kath appeared. The moment her eyes landed on Kael, she froze then broke into a bright smile. She recognized him instantly, even with his changed appearance.
"Sir Kael! Welcome back!" Kath said warmly, hurrying over.
"Did you end up getting good skills from the ones I sold you before?" she asked, her voice carrying a cheerful lilt.
Kael nodded. "Yeah. Got some great ones, actually. I'm planning to buy another set of skillstones today."
Behind him, the trio shifted awkwardly, each of them blushing slightly. Kath wasn't just attractive she had this charm, this aura, that drew people in.
Lucy, watching from the counter, clicked her tongue. Tch… what's so good about Kath? I'm more experienced, more premium than that newbie. Why would he choose her over me?
One of the male staff leaned over and whispered, "I know that guy. I saw him on social media that's F-rank Kael."
Lucy's brows furrowed. "F-rank?"
"Yeah. He's got over two hundred thousand members in his fan club, and more than a million followers on his own page… even though he barely posts anything. And here's the kicker " the staff smirked, " that's the same guy from three months ago."
Lucy's stomach dropped. The memory came rushing back that day, when she lost a commission worth $150,000 because she ignored a "nobody" who turned out to be loaded.
Her lips tightened. She knew she couldn't compete with Kath now. Not after the way she mocked him back then… without realizing he was filthy rich.
"I'm buying skills for my guild members," Kael told Kath. "Give each of them five elite skillstones."
Kath's eyes widened. "You're buying fifteen elite skillstones?" Her voice held genuine surprise after all, each elite skillstone cost million dollars.
Kael shook his head and leaned in slightly, lowering his voice. "No… not fifteen."
From behind the counter, Lucy smirked, clicking her tongue in annoyance. Figures. Probably trying to sound impressive.
Kael straightened up, letting the corner of his lips curl into a grin.
"I'm buying twenty."
Kath's eyes sparkled, her voice turning bright and cheerful. "Uhmmm! Sure, I'll prepare them right away."
Two other salesmen stepped in to assist Kael's friends as they browsed the display.
Liam, being an ice mage, gravitated toward the blue stones most likely to grant water or ice-type skills.
Paul and Jordan chose colorless stones, the kind that could adapt to their classes and complement their fighting style.
"Oh, right," Kael added, "your cousin's an archer, right?" he asked Paul. "Let's add three transparent stones and two orange ones."
Kath tallied the purchase and handed him the invoice. "Sir, that'll be twenty million dollars total. Please swipe your card here."
Kael glanced toward Lucy, his grin widening. "Let's make that… twenty million and thirty thousand."
Lucy's brows twitched. Thirty thousand?
Kath blinked. "A… tip?"
"Yeah."
Without hesitation, Kael pulled out his Hunter Association black card and swiped.
20,030,000 transaction successful.
The salesman assisting Paul gasped. "That's… a black card?"
"Yes," Kael replied casually.
Even the trio stared at him in disbelief. Owning a Hunter Association black card meant you were a VIP with hundreds of millions in assets and a storage limit of up to ten billion dollars.
"Kael… that's a black card," Paul said slowly, still trying to process it.
"Yep. Debit card from the Association." He pulled out two more cards from his wallet a second black card and a silver one. "This one's a black credit card from the Association, ten million credits limit. And this " he tapped the silver card " is a VIP credit card from Black Fang Guild. Twenty million credits."
Jordan whistled. "Even businessmen would kill to have those."
"Where the hell did you get all that?" Jordan asked.
Kael smirked and cast a pointed glance at Lucy. "Gift from a friend."
He turned back to Kath. "Thanks for the help."
As Kael left with his friends, Kath waved goodbye, beaming. The other two attendants joined in the farewell after all, Kael had just tipped each of them fifteen thousand dollars, an amount equal to a full month's salary.
Kath herself could hardly contain her excitement. A one-percent commission on the sale meant she had just made two hundred thousand dollars more than she'd earn in an entire year.
Behind the counter, Lucy stayed silent, her expression tight. She knew exactly how much she had lost… and that she had no one to blame but herself.
Where are we going now, the trio asked they are following kael.
Hmmm I think I'll give you guys a car each of you.
A car? Are you sure
Yes I'm sure think of it as bonus for joining my guild.
The trio stop walking
Kael actually I know were friends but you are giving us more than what we can offer to you.
For E annd F ranks like us you can hire someone else and give them 1 intermediate skillstone and 20 thousand salary monthly and that's considered as generous already.
Hahahah don't worry about it, later on you guys will be a great asset just trust me and follow my lead ok? Kael smile to them...
Hes radiating with confidence clearly different from shy and timid kael 3 months ago.
The trio said yes and quickly catch up.
Call your cousin I'll buy him a car if he join as well, he will get same as you guys tell him that he will be a part of core team.
Also mention my rank, if he will agree to be under of F rank I'll take him.
Paul quickly agreed and called his cousin,
His cousin quickly agreed..
He's cousin is living at city one as well.. He rushed to the hunter mall since he's working as accountant at a nearby mall..
Exactly it's lunch time when he received the call.
His name is Andrew around 23 years old small frame around 5'6 or 5'7 he looks european, blond hair blue eyes, a pretty boy appeal.
Hes running straight to the cardealer shop.
Kael is speaking with salesman and the trio is being assisted by other assistant as well..
Kael notice Andrew and Paul call him to go near kael.
Hello Guild master Kael my name is Andrew Fuegurson, Paul's cousin, D rank magic archer.
My cousin fill me details about your offer.
Please let me join your guild!!!
He said this straight while trying to catch up his breath...
Kael smile sure why not welcome to Kalza guild.
Kael get a contract from his subspace and asked Andrew to read and signed the contract.
Andrew did not read and quickly signed it
Ok finished....
The trioo was cheering
Whooooh Andrew welcome to our guild..
"Choose your car" Nonchalantly said by kael
"Pardon" Andrew clearly surprised.
Any model you want choose one. Said by kael.
Paul but in, just choose your car already it's also a welcome bonus by kael just accept it gratefully..
Andrew quickly choose the M5 sedan its a dream car for him cost 220 .000 dollars
While Liam choose a Porsches 870 the new model cost 250 thousand.
Paul choose a muscular looking car Ford ultima, a pick up truck cost 180 thousand
Jordan choose a white Ferrari xa21 cost 256 thousand
Kael finalized the papers..
Sir that would be total of 3.8 million dollars..
Kael I thi k something's wrong why it's so high?
It should only be around 800 thousand.
Ahhh do that's what you mean, I buy a bus and some trucks and excavator for our HQ construction.
A car? Are you serious?" Liam asked, almost stopping mid-step.
Kael grinned. "Dead serious. Think of it as a bonus for joining my guild."
The trio froze on the sidewalk.
"Kael…" Paul began, "I know we're friends, but you're giving us way more than we could ever repay you. For E- and F-ranks like us, you could hire someone else, give them one intermediate skillstone and twenty thousand a month, and they'd think you were a saint already."
Kael chuckled, brushing off their concerns. "Don't worry about it. Later on, you guys are going to be worth far more than this. Just trust me and follow my lead, alright?"
The confidence in his voice was undeniable completely different from the shy, timid Kael they'd known three months ago.
"Yes, Guild Master!" the trio said almost in unison, jogging to catch up to him.
"Paul, call your cousin," Kael added casually. "Tell him if he joins, I'll buy him a car too. Same benefits as you guys core team position, skillstones, the works. Oh, and make sure you mention my rank. If he's okay being under an F-rank, I'll take him."
Paul didn't hesitate. He pulled out his phone and dialed.
It didn't take long. His cousin, Andrew, agreed almost immediately. Conveniently, he worked as an accountant in a mall not far from the Hunter Mall, and it was lunchtime when Paul called.
Andrew was twenty-three, small-framed but with the lean build of an athlete. Standing around 5'7", with blond hair, blue eyes, and a boyish charm, he looked more like a model than a hunter. He sprinted straight to the car dealership where Kael and the others were waiting.
Kael was busy talking to a salesman while the trio browsed cars with other assistants. Paul spotted his cousin and waved him over.
"Guild Master Kael, my name is Andrew Fuegurson," he said between breaths. "Paul's cousin. D-rank magic archer. My cousin told me everything… please let me join your guild!"
Kael smiled. "Sure, why not? Welcome to Kalza Guild."
He pulled a contract from his subspace and handed it over. Andrew didn't even glance at the text he just signed on the spot.
The trio cheered. "Whooooh! Andrew, welcome to the guild!"
Kael gestured toward the shiny lineup of vehicles. "Choose your car."
Andrew blinked. "Pardon?"
"Any model you want. Pick one," Kael said nonchalantly.
Paul nudged him. "Just choose already. It's your welcome bonus don't think too hard about it."
Andrew's eyes widened, and without hesitation, he pointed at a sleek BMW M10 sedan his dream car. Price tag: $220,000.
Liam went for the brand-new Porsche 870, costing $250,000.
Paul picked a muscular Ford Ultimar52 v12 pickup truck $180,000.
Jordan, unable to resist, selected a pristine white Ferrari XAv1 $256,000.
Kael nodded at the salesman. "We'll take them all."
The salesman tapped on his tablet. "Sir, the total comes to… $3.8 million."
Paul's eyes bulged. "Wait, Kael, something's off. Those cars together are barely $800,000."
Kael smirked. "Ah, that. I also bought a bus, some trucks, and an excavator for our HQ construction."
At this point all 4 of them was not surprised to how kael spending big amount of money...
