A few minutes earlier.
In the Greek Divine Realm, at the center of the Acropolis, inside the Parthenon.
The Goddess of Victory—no, she should now be called the triple ancient Earth Mother Goddess, Athena—stood at the pinnacle of her own temple.
"In the name of the ancient Earth Mother Goddess, Athena, I hereby summon my Lord to descend upon this place!"
As they had agreed, the silver-haired goddess issued the call, allowing her master to lock onto the coordinates here.
A bet is a bet, and besides, Su Mo's goal was her own long-cherished wish. Athena naturally had no reason to go back on her word.
Through the connection of their master-servant contract, she quickly contacted Su Mo and helped him pinpoint the specific location of the Divine Realm.
However, before she could send her coordinate information, a thunderous voice suddenly boomed from behind her.
"My daughter, Athena! Who is it that you are calling?"
Hearing this majestic voice, Athena's heart sank, and she immediately turned around.
Descending from the sky behind her was none other than the King of the Gods, Zeus, wreathed in lightning.
This God-King, whose image in mythology wasn't exactly stellar, was by no means as lecherous as the myths portrayed. On the contrary, after usurping the wisdom of Metis, he had not only secured his position as King of the Gods but had also once overcome a prophecy from the Fates, evading the destiny of being replaced.
Throughout all of mythology, very few could achieve what Zeus had.
Athena had done her best to conceal her contact with Su Mo, yet she still hadn't escaped his notice.
"I was merely curious about the Godslayer who once defeated me. This is hardly something that needs to be reported, is it?" Athena replied with a natural expression.
Which god in the Divine Realm hadn't gone out for a stroll in the mortal world as a Heretic God? Therefore, attributing her actions to the resonance of her Godslayer fate was a perfectly sound excuse.
Of course, no defense is unbreakable. No matter how perfect the excuse, it couldn't stand up to a simple question.
"If you were truly calling a Godslayer, then I indeed should not have inquired."
"However, the 'Lord' you spoke of just now… what was that all about?"
As he spoke, lightning began to flicker in Zeus's eyes.
"…"
Not expecting her quiet murmur to be overheard, Athena was momentarily at a loss for words.
"Also, can you explain your current Divinity?" Zeus said in an icy tone. "The triple ancient Earth Mother Goddess… Hah, the prototype of a Divinity I find sickeningly familiar. Don't tell me you intend to abandon your status as an Olympian and once again become a rebel who defies the King of the Gods!"
As the King of the Gods, his insight was extraordinary. Even though Athena did her best to conceal it, he could still see many problems.
Hearing Zeus expose her, Athena dropped her pretense. She replied coldly, "So what if I do? Without the wisdom of the Earth Mother Goddess, can you still hold onto your throne as King of the Gods?"
In a very rare move, she, a god of the Divine Realm, chose to actively rebel against mythology. In the language of the mortal world, she was, without a doubt, a true Heretic God.
"The wisdom of the Earth Mother Goddess? Hah! You're still indulging in fantasies! Did the prophecy of the three Fates give you courage?" Zeus sneered at her words.
According to the prophecy in the myths, the child born of Metis would be able to usurp Zeus and become the new King of the Gods. From a mythological perspective, this prophecy was a mirror of Zeus's own myth, giving it considerable credibility.
However, to deal with this prophecy, in the myths, Zeus had directly swallowed Metis, acquiring her power. In the Divine Realm, the lineage of the Earth Mother Goddess that Athena represented was thoroughly suppressed, becoming vassals to the Heroic Gods of Steel.
Now, by actively reawakening her ancient Divinity, Athena was essentially declaring open rebellion.
"Without the help of the three Fates, I can still reclaim the glory of the Earth Mother Goddess and wash away my past shame!"
As expected, Athena adopted a confrontational stance.
Seeing her, Zeus shook his head slightly, not rushing to act.
"I can give you one last chance. Relinquish the Gorgoneion, accept your status as an Olympian god, and I can still consider you my daughter!"
"There's no need!" Athena, of course, refused to compromise in the slightest.
"The era of flaunting your power on the corpses of the Earth Mother Goddesses is over. I have recovered my triple-goddess form. King of the Gods, Zeus, face the wrath of the Earth Mother Goddess!"
She aimed her spear at the sky god before her, her intentions clear.
After returning to her ancient Earth Mother Goddess form, her strength had been considerably amplified, in no way inferior to that of a typical God-King. Even if her enemy was Zeus, Athena felt she still had a chance of victory. She was, after all, the Goddess of Victory!
"A foolish choice!"
Looking at the confident Athena before him, Zeus shook his head, his gaze filled with indescribable disappointment.
"Even now, you still think you have any chance of victory?"
As his words fell, bolts of lightning as thick as water barrels instantly struck down, forming a brief thunderstorm.
The violent thunderstorm enveloped both gods. Bathed in the lightning, Zeus's entire aura began to rapidly intensify.
Lightning, like fire, could temper and enhance the power of a Heroic God of Steel.
The power of the thunderstorm far exceeded Athena's expectations. Even the defense of a god couldn't resist it. Though Athena used the Aegis, she struggled to hold on.
"This scale of power… could it be?"
Supported by the faith of her temple, Athena quickly guessed the reason. She turned to look in the direction of Mount Olympus, only to find that the holy mountain had quietly disappeared at some point.
Before her, noticing her action, the God-King Zeus revealed a savage grin.
"What are you looking for? Mount Olympus?"
"No need to look. I am Olympus!"
With those words, the phantom of Mount Olympus appeared behind Zeus. The other Olympian gods had also appeared on the battlefield at some point, completely surrounding the rebellious Athena.
Faced with the siege of the gods, Athena's gaze remained locked on Zeus. The encirclement of the gods was terrifying, but she had a faint intuition that the Zeus before her was far more frightening than all the other gods combined.
