Chapter 117 - Alfa's unexpected visit.

There was a knock on the door. The entire room went silent. They all looked at each other, confused whether they should open up or not. Who was at the door?

As if to answer their question, a voice came through, "Aria? Aria, I know you're in there. I need to talk to you!"

"Alfa?" Arya whispered. "What's he doing here?"

Natalie looked at her mother, eyes questioning her, and Kimberly shook her head negatively, answering her question.

Something burned in Rodriguez eyes, and Natalie noticed it. "Are you okay, Rodney?" She asked, looking at him.

"I knew by the way he said it that he has another mole. Today confirms it." He said.

"Aria, please!" Came Alfa's voice again.

Pete got up, ready to go, when Arya stopped him, "Wait, uncle, I'll go talk to him."

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes. I'll talk to him and clear things out once and for all."

She got up and went to the door. The knocking immediately subsided, and Arya opened the door just a crack, looked out, and asked, "What do you want?"

"We need to talk. Now!" Alfa said, staring at her, his eyes pleading.

"How'd you know I was here?" Arya asked, stepping outside.

"You're my mate! I know where you will be," he replied.

"Nice try, but I'm not buying that. Someone told you, and it's not Marius or Yalandro. That means there's one more mole in the pack."

"Aria, I know I made a huge mistake. Please come with me, and we can work things out. I... I still love you, and I can't leave without you!"

"Really?" Arya asked, her brows frowning. "I went to your pack as a doctor, studying the dire wolves. I didn't know anything about werewolves, but you did. You showed me what being a werewolf was all about, then, you took it from me. Everything! You took away everything from me, and now, when I've moved on, you want to drag me back with you so that you win. Well, let me tell you something, Mr Alfa Flowerew, I am not going with you, not today, not tomorrow, not ever! Do you understand me?" Arya asked, and something in her eyes flickered just for a second.

Alfa stood there, unable to form words. He had thought that Arya would eventually get back to him because they were mates. Hazelwitch was right, Bella was his mate, not Arya. He had destroyed his mate just because he thought what he was doing was right.

"Aria, please - " his phone rang, and before he could hide it, Arya saw the name 'Mishie' appear on the screen.

He cut it and tried to continue the conversation when his phone rang again. The same name appeared.

"Pick it up. Could be important," Arya said, and seeing no harm, he did.

"Yeah, Mishie, what's up?.... What?.... okay!"

Arya couldn't really make out what Mishie was saying, but before he cut the line, someone zoomed past Arya and grabbed Alfa's phone, and put it to his ear.

Rodriguez face changed into disappointment, as the person had cut the line before he could hear her voice.

"It was the mole, wasn't it?" Rodriguez said, disappointment clear in his voice. "Confirms one thing, there's still someone on my territory, living under my nose, who is still working for you, and the day I find that person, I'll hang him, or her!"

"Well, we'll see about that, won't we?"

Alfa saying that line not only confirmed that yes, there was a mole in the territory, but he knew it was someone close to them, because Alfa sounded almost sure that he would not be able to kill that rat!

But Alfa has forgotten one very important detail about Rodriguez; he's a rogue. Not just any rogue, the Alpha of rogues!

"Aria... " "No, Alfa! You listen to me. I, under no circumstances, am going with you, dead or alive. Now leave before we call the police!" Arya said, and her eyes made Alfa leave. Her pitch black eyes.

Rodriguez also noticed her eyes. "Arya? Arya?" He called out.

Arya took a deep breath, and her eyes became normal again. "What happened?" She asked.

"She came! And Alfa made a run for it!" Rodriguez told her, and she understood who he meant by 'she'.

"Okay, kids, let's get inside," Pete said, and they followed him in.

"Bobo, what's going on? What mole?" Kimberly asked as they sat back at the table.

Arya looked at Rodriguez, and after getting a slight nod from him, said, "We believe Alfa has planted a mole in the rogue territory, and that person is responsible for giving information about us to him. We had thought we got rid of them, but apparently, there's one more, and she's in the territory!"

"She?" Rodriguez asked, looking at Arya curiously. "What do you mean 'she'?"

"Rodriguez, I have my suspicion. I cannot reveal her name just because I think she is working with Alfa. I could be wrong!" Arya said, but instead of calming him down, her answer made him more curious.

"Arya, you can tell me her name. I won't just banish her!"

"Rodriguez, I will. When I have enough proof."

"Arya... I need her name!"

"Oh, don't you start with that shit. Besides, I'm still hungry. Aunt Kim has grilled some chicken for me, and before your pickles run off your plate, I suggest you eat too."

"Arya, Rodney, please eat something, and you can continue this conversation afterward," Kimberly suggested.

Not wanting to disrespect their host, Rodriguez let the question go and began eating his meal, but not before giving Arya a long stare.

After lunch, Natalie, Arya, and Marcus told Rodriguez the stories about their childhood and Rodriguez listened patiently, laughing at times, and looking surprised at other times, but Arya noticed that Rodriguez gave her the death stare at times, just to remind her that he hasn't forgotten about their conversation.

Soon, it was time to go back home, and Rodriguez hugged his aunt and uncle and promised he would invite them soon. He also shook Marcus and Natalie's hand.

During the ride back home, Arya asked, "So, how was it?"

"I did enjoy myself. Besides, I got to bring back the pickles."

Arya and Rodriguez both laughed. Then, out of nowhere, the question Arya dreaded came up, "So, who do you suspect is the actual mole?"

"Rodriguez, why don't you ask yourself that? Think of it for a second. Who was the last rogue to enter your territory after me? Who is the rogue we know nothing about, and yet, she feels at home? Who is the only rogue who knew that I was coming to visit my aunt and uncle with you? Think about it. Who's nickname could be Mishie?" Arya said.

"Arya, that's a very powerful accusation you're putting on my mate, you know!"

"Yes, I know! That's why I needed to collect enough proof before revealing her to you."

There was a long silence.
