Chapter 73 - Revelation

Ronald drove the car into the human town. As werewolves, they seldom interacted with humans, but this was important.

"How far?" Alfa asked, looking left and right for any signs of the shop Ronald had been called to.

"A few more minutes," came the reply, as Ronald turned another corner.

"Remember the last time we came here, Alfa?" Ronald asked, changing the subject.

"Yes. We were nearly jailed for trespassing," Alfa replied coldly.

"Oh, here we are!" The grey eyed beta said happily.

Sure enough, there was a board reading: Hazelwitch tarot reading.

Ronald parked outside, and both men got out and headed to the door. The strong scent of potion and herbs drifted through to them, along with the scent of two witches.

The scent were too strong for their sensitive noses, while the humans would only catch the smell of fresh herbs.

The door opened with a 'ting' as the bell by the door rang. It was a small shop and was full of crystals on one side, potions on the other side.

There was a girl sitting at the cash register, and Ronald stared at her.

"You have a mate. Stop drooling over a child!" Alfa whispered.

"She's the girl! The little girl in the forest!" Ronald whispered back, and Alfa looked at her.

She was maybe fourteen or fifteen and wore a tank top and shorts. She wore makeup and looked like any normal teenager.

"She's grown up."

"I know."

"May I help you, gentlemen?" The girl asked, staring at them.

She didn't know why they were staring at her, but one of them looked familiar. His grey eyes, his height... he wasn't too tall. Who was he?

The other one, the one with blue eyes, she had never seen him before. Ava understood one thing, they weren't human.

"Yeah, we're here to see Hazelwitch!" Ronald managed to say.

"Do you have an appointment?"

"Yes, I'm Ronald Sinclair. She's expecting me."

Ava's brown eyes went wide, as realization hit her. Ronald Sinclair. That's the name of the werewolf who saved her eight years ago.

She just stood there, staring. She didn't know what to say. Without this man... or wolf, she'd be dead.

"Ava?"

The voice that came from the back brought her back to the present.

"Who's there?" Her mother asked as she came to the front.

"Hello, Mrs Hazelwitch. I'm..." Before Ronald could say anymore, the witch spoke up,"Follow me. I've been expecting you." Turning to Ava, she said, "Close the shop. I don't want anyone else here."

Ava quickly nodded, and the adults went to the back.

"Give me your hands," Hazelwitch said to Alfa while extanding her hands.

Alfa and the witch sat opposite each other and held each other's palms. Hazelwitch began murmuring something, her eyes closed, and her entire body shook.

Ronald sat on a chair beside Alfa. Both men looked at each other as the beautiful woman in front of them began shaking.

Her eyes turned all white, and she gave a cry. Ava rushed in but stopped when she saw her mum.

"What happened?" She asked, looking at both men standing in front of her.

Ronald explained as best he could, and Ava began chanting something, and soon, Hazelwitch calmed down.

"Alpha Alfa Flowerew, you're the biggest fool I've ever seen," the witch said. Her stare so intense it could burn.

"What do you mean?" Alfa said between clenched teeth.

How could a witch insult an Alpha like this. Had this not been a human town, he'd have torn her to pieces.

"You had the perfect mate. Perfect. You ruined it just because you didn't want to believe she's perfect."

This statement gave Alfa more questions than answers. What the hell did she mean.

"What?" Alfa asked.

"You took steps without even knowing about the truth. Let me ask you something: Do you believe in her? Your mate, Arya?" Hazelwitch asked.

"What? What kind of question is that?"

"Answer me," the witch said, staring at him.

Her eyes had turned to normal, but anger shone in them. She definitely knew something they didn't.

"Yes, I do believe in her!"

"Lies!"

"I don't understand what you're trying to say! Can you please elaborate?" Alfa said, swallowing his growing anger.

"You made a deal with the demon himself! Why did you not wait for her to heal naturally?" Hazelwitch asked.

Another question. Wouldn't this woman tell them what was happening? Or would she bore them with unnecessary questions?

"Because we all know that a person touched by a demon gets their soul tainted! How could I watch my mate turn evil?" Alfa said.

"Didn't it ever occur to you that she might already possess a tainted soul, and because your father made that decision many years ago, she received a pure spirit as her soul?"

Alfa stared at the young woman sitting before him. His mouth fell open. What did she mean?

"I don't understand..."

"That's your problem! You don't understand!" Hazelwitch said, leaning forward. "She was never meant to be a werewolf! Your father changed that when he betrothed her to you."

"What?" This time, Ronald asked in shock. "She already had a tainted soul? How?"

"All I can tell you now is that you have awakened a side of her that you don't want to know!" Saying this, Hazelwitch quickly got up and began walking away.

"No, wait. Please help us," Alfa begged.

The witch stood there for a long time, contemplating whether she should help or not.

"Please, Hazelwitch. Our pack is falling apart, and without our Luna, we will parish. You owe me. Please, I'm asking you to return the favor!" Roanld begged.

The witch looked at their faces. Two wolves standing there begging. She finally let go of a breath and sat back down, followed by the guests.

"Flowerew, your mate, Aria Moonstone, was born as a dark witch. Your fathers' decision forced the universe to change her destiny so one day, she could meet you," Hazelwitch began telling them, and they listened intently.

"Arya was never your mate. Bella was. And you put her to permanent sleep, allowing her witch side to come through."

Both men looked at each other, then back at the woman.

"If Arya makes three sacrifices during three full moons, there's no getting her back. With each sacrifice, the witch will grow stronger, and the last will make her invincible."

"How do we stop her?" Alfa asked.

"You need to prevent her from getting to her great-grandmothers alter, in Moonstone pack."

"Then there's no problem! Rodriguez would never allow her to enter his territory," Ronald said, sighing in relief.

"You underestimate witches! The blackouts that Arya has been having are not random. Rodriguez destiny is twisted together with Arya's. They are destined to work together, and Arya will come for your family."

Hearing this, the two men were speechless. What could they say?

What could they do?
