[Pink demon? Chansey is clearly a little angel—why would you call it such an evil nickname!]
[The CPA (Chansey Protection Association) strongly condemns this!]
[You're forbidden from eating the eggs laid by our little angel Chansey in the future!]
[Clearly attention seeking, do people really think Chansey can battle?]
No sooner had Aiden finished his opening remarks than a flood of comments began to pour in, sharply critiquing his choice.
It was clear that everyone had very low expectations for Chansey.
Chansey, the Egg Pokémon, was the fixed-spawn little angel of Pokémon Centers.
To say it wasn't suited for battle wasn't entirely without merit.
Possibly due to its nature, Chansey's offensive capabilities were abysmal.
Even if its bond with the Trainer was maxed out and it evolved into Blissey, its damage output still left much to be desired.
For these "native" Trainers who preferred aggressive slugfests, it was undeniably weak.
Of course, Arceus, our world-creating deity, wouldn't close a window without opening a door.
While offense might not be Chansey's forte, the Chansey family was absolutely a defensive powerhouse.
Especially in Special Defense—it was a despair-inducing "Wall of Sighs."
"Don't rush. A certain master once said, 'There are no weak Pokémon, only Trainers who don't know how to use them.' Today, I, your Teacher Azure will show you a tactic tailored for Chansey!"
As he spoke, Aiden opened Pokémon Champions and selected a round, pink Pokémon from the team editor.
[Why Chansey? Isn't Blissey the final evolution?]
[Maybe it's to use Eviolite? Since neither has much combat power, why not bulk it up instead.]
[So how are you going to win?]
Aiden wasn't surprised by the barrage of questions.
After all, this was the real Pokémon world, where stall teams grinding opponents to death didn't happen often.
Otherwise, it'd be too easy to trigger another unrated battle IRL…
Stall teams really do struggle to make friends.
"I'm planning to use Eviolite to further amplify Chansey's strengths."
"Of course, this tactic also works for Blissey. Swap the item for Light Clay, and the effect shouldn't differ much."
Aiden briefly explained before jumping straight into matchmaking.
The stereotype about the Chansey family ran deep, so words alone wouldn't convince them.
He needed to prove to his viewers through action—
The seemingly angelic Chansey family was no pushover!
At the Ultra Ball rank, the number of players had noticeably decreased, so his matchmaking time had significantly lengthened.
Previously, it took just a few seconds to find an opponent, but now he waited a full five minutes.
By the time he finished watching a new outfit video of Clemont on Poké TV, the matchmaking pointer finally stopped spinning.
"Perfect! Our Scientific Shrink Squad is ready to dominate!"
Aiden smiled faintly, observing the opponent's lineup while keeping the atmosphere lively.
"I'll predict your next question—"
"Teacher Azure, what exactly is the Scientific Shrink Squad?"
[What is the Scientific Shrink… Holy crap, cheats detected!]
[??? Preemptively reading opponents is one thing, but now you're predicting chat too?]
[Teacher Azure, hurry up and serve it, I can't wait anymore!]
Seeing chat stunned by his "Future Sight", clearly becoming more active, Aiden revealed a satisfied smile.
"The so-called Scientific Shrink Squad revolves around the move Minimize, using continuous shrinking to make it harder for opponents to land hits."
"It may seem luck-dependent, but it's far from it."
"For example, since the opponent's team leans heavily toward Special Attackers, we can confidently send out Chansey as the lead."
Entering the battle, Aiden's Trainer avatar immediately threw out Chansey.
The opponent was a young Trainer whose starter Pokémon was none other than Alakazam, the Psi Pokemon.
Right in Aiden's wheelhouse.
"Alakazam, Psychic!"
As soon as both Pokémon appeared, the opponent immediately issued their command.
Alakazam crossed its two spoons, eyes glowing purple, and unleashed a violent burst of psychic energy that surged toward Chansey like a rampaging wave.
Chansey's reaction was extremely slow. Even as it saw the attack coming, it remained motionless, smiling innocently.
When the psychic wave hit Chansey's body, it surprisingly did little damage.
Despite being hit, Chansey's HP bar—over twice as long as Alakazam's—barely showed any significant loss, maintaining nearly full health.
"Chansey?"
Even through the screen, one could sense the confusion in Chansey's voice.
As if saying:
'Lil bro, did you skip breakfast?'
"Master Alakazam, you're just scratching here—if you're not a Physical Attacker, forget about hurting our Chansey!"
Aiden immediately issued his command:
"Chansey, Minimize!"
Chansey's body began shrinking inch by inch, quickly becoming half its original height.
Minimize was a Pokémon's survival instinct.
Even Pokémon that didn't learn the move might instinctively shrink to dodge attacks when encountering danger in the wild.
This was also the principle behind modern Poké Balls' storage mechanism.
After shrinking, Chansey wasn't just harder to hit; its reduced size made it more agile.
Even when the opponent quickly switched to Focus Blast—a move that was super effective—it was already too late.
Energy waves flew out repeatedly, but each time, Chansey dodged them with clumsy yet effective footwork, using Minimize again.
After shrinking three times, Chansey's size became almost impossible to track with the naked eye.
Even Alakazam, famous for its Psychic prowess, would have almost no chance of hitting it now.
"Didn't someone ask me earlier how Chansey could win? Watch closely—you won't want to blink!"
Alakazam's ability was likely either Synchronize or Magic Guard, so…
There was only one answer!
"Chansey, Seismic Toss!"
Before anyone realized it, Chansey had already closed in on Alakazam. Its tiny body unleashed terrifying strength, hurling Alakazam straight into the air!
The damage wasn't particularly impressive, but the humiliation was unbearable.
Faced with this "pink demon" that couldn't be hit and only kept wearing them down, the opponent quickly surrendered in shame, pressing the forfeit button at lightning speed.
[Huh? Is this even Pokémon battling anymore? Where am I?]
[This is too dirty, isn't it?]
[Why does the streamer's Chansey look so evil when it smiles? Am I imagining things…]
[No, you're not imagining it. No wonder the streamer calls it a pink demon—give us back our cute little angel, ah!!!]
Clearly, the Minimize tactic left a deep impression on the chat.
"Already tapped out?"
Aiden's smile vanished instantly, his excitement fading.
Finally getting to play a stall team, and they ended it prematurely like this?!
As a pure Pokémon player, compared to the joy of battling, the points gained from victory felt bland and uninteresting.
"This is the power of the Scientific Shrink Squad. Chansey's Special Defense is absurdly high, and with Eviolite amplifying it, as long as you can trap a Special Attacker, there's a good chance to boost it to its limit in one go."
"What to do next? I don't need to spell it out, right?"
Aiden smiled faintly, ignoring the barrage of comments like "dirty dirty dirty" and "I've learned it, delete quickly!" He began matchmaking again.
After waiting two or three minutes, another "worthy opponent" appeared across from him.
Player ID: Will of Fire!
League Certification: Newly appointed Sinnoh Elite Four member, Flint!

A/N:
In theory, Chansey is pretty easy to counter—everyone knows a single punch can take it down. But when you actually face it, it's still infuriating. Truly deserving of the title "pink demon."
