Chapter 65 - 65

I declare the Regenerative Serum press conference a complete success. In a hundred days, everyone will be able to see the living Regenerative Serum on the market. All right, everyone can go home now."

Norman Osborn stood on the podium, his face full of undisguised smiles, announcing the end of the press conference and dismissing the reporters from Osborn Industries.

Norman had reason to be so excited, because just moments ago, he learned that on the stock market, Osborn Industries' green line, representing an upward trend, had shot up like it was high-jumping, directly increasing by twenty percentage points, a truly astonishing surge.

Although the live broadcast Norman had previously hosted, proving the success of the Regenerative Serum, had also boosted Osborn Industries' stock, that time it had only brought the stock back to its original level. This press conference, however, had directly propelled Osborn Industries' stock to a new high, increasing its market value by an unknown amount.

At this time, Ron, Peter, and Gwen had not yet left. Norman Osborn was going to host a celebratory banquet later, and the food should be quite good, so Ron would attend.

After a while, once all the reporters had dispersed, it was already a little past six in the evening.

However, even though reporters from all over the world had left, Norman seemed even busier than before.

Due to this press conference, those shareholders who had previously abandoned their Osborn shares because of the Lizard monster incident found Norman again, offering a hefty price to see if they could reclaim their original shares from Norman.

Facing these old foxes, Norman's attitude was actually very poor; he kept trying to send them away. However, these people were like sticky candy, impossible to get rid of.

One must know, these shareholders were not docile sheep; they were wolves, eager to pounce on benefits and quick to flee when there were none, extremely shrewd. How could they easily let Norman go?

Norman, left with no choice, had to lead these people to Ron and hand them over to Ron to deal with.

"To all former Osborn shareholders, I know you want to buy back your original shares and repossess them, but I tell you, that is impossible."

Seeing Norman's difficult situation, Ron nodded to him, then turned to face the wolf-like shareholders.

Upon hearing Ron's words, these people all frowned, their expressions very displeased.

A burly man with a scarred face stepped forward, pointing at Ron and speaking with a look of disdain.

"I know you, you're Ron, the one who successfully researched the Regenerative Serum. But no matter who you are, you are ultimately just an employee of Osborn Industries. Is it your place to meddle in these share matters?"

"Sorry, I am going to meddle in these matters." Ron smiled, pulling out a strange-looking seal from his pocket. "Because, right now, I am a shareholder of Osborn Industries. All the shares you previously sold are now in my hands."

"This…" The man was surprised. He didn't believe Ron's words, so he looked at Norman: "Norman, is this true? Did you really give our shares to this kid?"

Norman nodded. Although he felt a little uncomfortable, he still very definitively told these guys the truth.

"That's right, Ron is the one who saved Osborn Industries. To show my gratitude, I've given all your previous shares to Ron!"

Norman hadn't lied at all; what he said was indeed true.

Because the 'Guardian Project' Ron had mentioned when he handed over the successfully researched Regenerative Serum last time wasn't just about a superhero Guardian Alliance.

Ron had explained it to him this way: Ron would capture the Lizard monster that Curt Connors had transformed into, then proactively bring this matter to light, letting everyone know that the Lizard monster was originally Curt Connors from Osborn Industries.

This would plunge Osborn Industries directly into a huge crisis. Then, Norman would need to buy back the shares from those who could not possibly share the company's hardships, consolidating them all into his own hands.

Finally, Norman only needed to announce that the unfinished Regenerative Serum would be given to Ron for research, and then within ten days, officially launch the successful Regenerative Serum, letting the whole world know about the Regenerative Serum developed by Osborn Industries.

Norman was convinced. He knew that if these things succeeded, Osborn Industries would surely turn the crisis into an opportunity, and even advance further, reaching a higher level.

However, the price was that he needed to give all those original shareholder shares to Ron, making Osborn Industries a company jointly owned by him and Ron, with only a few shareholders.

At this point, Norman had already transferred the shares to Ron. He now only held forty-nine percent of Osborn Industries' shares, and Ron also held forty-nine percent of Osborn Industries' shares. In terms of company power, Ron and he were on the same level.

When the burly man with the scarred face learned this fact, his expression immediately changed. He faced Ron with a fawning smile, his attitude towards Ron doing a complete 180-degree turn.

"Ron, I know you're a genius, a super genius. But I heard super geniuses only like to do research, and you definitely don't want to manage a company, right? I'll give you countless benefits; you just give me your shares and let me manage them, how about it?"

However, even though this guy had offered many benefits, Ron still maintained that faint smile, only saying one word to him.

"Scram!"

"You… I…" The burly man with the scarred face clearly hadn't expected Ron to speak like that. He froze on the spot, pointing at Ron, so angry he couldn't speak.

After a while, he recovered his breath, his face becoming very gloomy. Then he threw down a harsh remark and directly left Osborn with the others.

"I'm telling you, Osborn shares aren't that easy to get! Let's go!"

...With the matter resolved, Ron smiled and looked at Norman, saying, "Alright, those guys have been dealt with, Mr. Osborn. It's time for our celebration banquet."

"Ron, the person behind that guy has a lot of influence, not only in New York but even across the entire United States. They also have some mutants working for them. Be careful."

Norman's expression, however, was somewhat worried. He glanced at the departing man and said to Ron.

"Understood." Ron smiled, not paying any attention to Norman's words. "Mr. Osborn, you know my strength. Let's go; after the banquet, I still need to go home and sleep!"

"Hmm…" After thinking about Ron's fierce demeanor when he sabotaged the Osborn Industries experiment earlier, Norman nodded and didn't try to persuade him further.

Because Norman knew that the real Ron was definitely not the Ron he thought he knew!

Recalling the various signs from his previous interactions with Ron, Norman could vaguely sense that Ron's level of danger was definitely ten times, and even more, dangerous than those unstable mutants!

Taking a deep breath, Norman stopped thinking about these things and returned to his usual gentle demeanor.

Afterward, Norman led the group to the restaurant he had booked, hosting a celebratory banquet for what seemed to be a destined-to-be-successful press conference.
