Chapter 41 - 41

Outside the X-Mansion was a large lawn. When Ron and Professor X followed Wolverine outside, they found Wolverine attacking the White Queen.

Wolverine's adamantium claws cut through metal like butter. Even though the White Queen was a beautiful woman, he showed no mercy, raising his claws and plunging them fiercely towards her.

However, the White Queen remained extremely calm in the face of Wolverine's attack. She smiled as she watched Wolverine charge at her, not taking him seriously at all.

Without even moving a hand, the White Queen easily controlled Wolverine with her telepathic abilities, then made him plunge his own claws deep into his body.

"Ah!!!" A painful cry erupted. Wolverine's adamantium claws were too sharp; his body had no ability to stop them and was directly impaled by his own claws.

Due to the peculiar location of the wound, Wolverine, unable to bear the pain, immediately fell to one knee, temporarily losing his ability to move.

"How foolish. Charles, are these your current subordinates? Didn't you tell this guy what my abilities are?"

After Wolverine lost his ability to move, the White Queen turned her gaze to Professor X on the other side. She shook her head in exasperation and chuckled.

She had a very deep impression of Professor X. During her time in the Hellfire Club, her telepathic abilities were already very powerful.

Yet, her proud abilities were suppressed by the young Professor X, which left her with deep resentment.

After the death of the Black King, Sebastian Shaw, she had even considered joining Professor X's team, but for various reasons, joining the X-Men never materialized.

Looking at Professor X now, with his large bald head, sitting in a wheelchair, and his face aged, he no longer possessed his handsome appearance from back then… "Sigh…"

The White Queen sighed softly, filled with regret.

"White Queen, release him, and I won't attack you."

Seeing Wolverine's miserable state, Professor X frowned and steered his wheelchair to a spot over twenty meters away from the White Queen, hoping she would release Wolverine.

"Charles, you're still so kind to our kind. Fine, I can release this guy, as long as you hand over Rogue to me. I promise not to lay a hand on any of you."

The White Queen smiled, glanced at Wolverine, who was kneeling on the ground, and then raised an eyebrow at Professor X, saying.

"Rogue?" Professor X was momentarily stunned by the name, then guessed that it must be a codename Magneto's side gave to Rogue, based on her abilities.

"White Queen, I will not hand over Rogue to you. Our goal is to strive for a bright future for mutants; there is no deep-seated hatred between us. There's no need for us to fight among ourselves."

Professor X's expression grew serious as he tried to persuade the White Queen to release Wolverine, while simultaneously attempting to control her with his telepathic abilities, a two-pronged approach.

"Hmph, Charles, don't think that just because your power has grown over the years, mine hasn't!"

However, the White Queen showed no fear in the face of Professor X's mental attack. She snorted, blocking all the psychic energy Professor X directed at her, then used her own psychic energy to counterattack Professor X.

"Charles, my psychic abilities are no weaker than yours now. I'm going to control the guy next to you and show you just how powerful my psychic abilities are!"

The White Queen appeared extremely confident. In the years since she left the Brotherhood of Mutants, she hadn't been idle, constantly honing her psychic abilities, hoping that one day she could use them to control the equally powerful Professor X.

While counterattacking Professor X, the White Queen didn't overlook the young man standing next to him, intending to control him just as she had Wolverine.

Unfortunately, Professor X hadn't been idle over the years either; his psychic power had grown immeasurably since then. Although the White Queen's psychic power was strong, it was ineffective against Professor X.

Seeing Professor X resist her mental control, the White Queen was annoyed but not surprised. After all, he was her old rival; if her strength grew, so would his, so it was normal for him to resist her mental control.

What truly surprised the White Queen was that she couldn't even control the seemingly ordinary young man next to Professor X.

This young man had actually blocked her mental control!

The White Queen could clearly feel that the young man's ability to resist her psychic power was definitely not due to Professor X. Instead, the young man himself must be a psychic mutant, using his own psychic abilities to resist her.

If he could resist her psychic power, then this young man's psychic power should not be much weaker than hers.

Why hadn't Magneto mentioned such a person to her before?

The White Queen inwardly cursed Magneto. She felt a bit disbelieving and, to verify her thoughts, she maximized her psychic power, intending to redouble her efforts to control the young man.

However, she had already used all her psychic power to attack this person, yet not only was he not controlled, but she couldn't even break through his defenses in the slightest.

And not only that, this guy was actually counterattacking her with his psychic power, and had already gained an advantage!

This result utterly shocked the White Queen.

Instantly, the White Queen felt a bad premonition. Sure enough, a psychic force much stronger than hers directly assaulted her brain, throwing the psychic energy within her mind into disarray.

There was no need to guess that this psychic attack came from Professor X. Fortunately, the White Queen's psychic power was strong, and she wasn't immediately controlled by Professor X.

Then, the White Queen immediately withdrew all her psychic energy to resist the dual psychic invasion from Professor X and the young man.

Although the White Queen was powerful, under the combined assault of Professor X and Ron, who were no weaker than her, she quickly lost her ability to resist, clutching her head and collapsing to the ground in pain.

At this moment, the young man standing next to Professor X looked at him and said, "Professor, I have a way to seal this woman's psychic power. I'm going to make my move now!"

This young man was, of course, Ron. As he spoke, Ron didn't wait for Professor X's consent and directly used an ability called Mental Lock, unleashing it upon the White Queen.

He wasn't someone who would let others attack him without retaliating. If it weren't for not wanting to offend both Professor X and Magneto simultaneously, he might have even considered turning this White Queen into an idiot, just like the Abomination before!

The Mental Lock ability Ron released was a means to seal an enemy's powerful psychic energy. His psychic abilities were almost omnipotent, so such a method was very simple for him.

And the White Queen, now a fish on a chopping block, naturally had no ability to resist Ron's Mental Lock.

"Alright, successfully resolved."

Ron very easily sealed the White Queen's psychic power. However, just then, Ron's psychic perception detected a distorted rift suddenly appearing in the White Queen's space.

In an instant, a red-skinned figure appeared beside the White Queen, embraced the now-helpless White Queen, and then, with another distortion, vanished from the spot.

Seeing this bizarre scene, Ron and Professor X both knew who this person was.

Possessing teleportation abilities, one of the oldest mutants, Azazel!

...Meanwhile, Magneto looked at Azazel and the White Queen, who had just teleported back, as well as the three X-Men he had already bound with steel, and frowned deeply.

"We can't delay any longer, Azazel. We're going straight to the X-Mansion. We must get Rogue!"
