The news hit the Stark household like a repulsor blast. Tony Stark, kidnapped in Afghanistan. The media was in a frenzy, Pepper was a wreck, and the mansion, usually a hive of activity, was cloaked in a suffocating silence. Adama and Morgan watched the news reports from their hidden base, a grim determination settling over them. They knew this was coming. Adam had seen it in the timeline. But knowing didn't make it any easier.
"He's going to be okay, right?" Morgan whispered, her voice tight with worry. She was clutching a small, metallic prototype, her knuckles white.
Adama put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "He will. He has to. This is... a crucible for him. It's how he becomes Iron Man." He didn't mention the part about the shrapnel in his chest, or the cave, or the desperate struggle for survival. Some spoilers were better left unsaid.
"This is the part where I wish I had a 'skip the traumatic origin story' button. But alas, even the Omni-Luck System has its limits. Or maybe it just enjoys the drama."
He closed his eyes, focusing on the System. "Oracle's Gaze," he thought, the mental command a familiar whisper. "Tony Stark. Kidnapping. Afghanistan. Exact location and time."

The coordinates flashed in his mind, a precise digital map of a desolate cave. He knew the story. He knew the desperate ingenuity that would lead to the first, crude Iron Man suit. But he also knew the struggle, the pain, the sheer difficulty of building something like that from scraps. He could help. Subtly. Without derailing the core narrative.
"Morgan," he said, opening his eyes, a plan forming. "Remember that advanced arc reactor blueprint Dad was toying with last year? The one he called 'too theoretical'?"
Morgan's eyes widened. "The one with the improved energy density and the self-sustaining core? Yeah, it's probably buried under a pile of old schematics in his personal archives. Why?"
"Because we're going to make sure it's not buried anymore," Adama said, a mischievous glint in his eye. "We're going to 'accidentally' put it right where he can find it. A little nudge from fate, courtesy of his favorite kids."
Morgan grinned, a spark of her usual ingenuity returning. "Oh, I like it. A little 'divine intervention' for the man who thinks he's a god."
They waited until the dead of night, when even Jarvis was in a low-power state. Adama, cloaked in the invisibility of the Coat of the Ascended, slipped into Tony's heavily secured personal archives. The room was a monument to organized chaos, stacks of blueprints, half-finished prototypes, and enough coffee stains to chart a new constellation.
He found the blueprint, tucked away in a dusty folder labeled "Theoretical Nonsense." With a subtle use of his Crown of Gravity, he levitated it, then gently placed it on top of a stack of more recent, frequently accessed files. He even added a faint, almost imperceptible coffee ring to make it look like Tony had just set it down and forgotten it.
[System Message] Luck Manipulation initiated. Blueprint for advanced arc reactor successfully placed. 15 Non-Permanent Luck Points spent.
"Fifteen points to save Dad a few headaches and maybe a few extra days in a cave? Worth it. Besides, a slightly more efficient arc reactor means he'll be Iron Man-ing even harder, which means more plot for me to subtly influence."
As he slipped back out, unseen and unheard, Adama felt a strange mix of emotions. Relief that he could help, even in this small way. A pang of sadness for the ordeal his father was enduring. And a quiet determination to ensure that, while the major beats of the MCU would remain, the suffering would be lessened, the victories sweeter, and the casualties, hopefully, fewer. This was their mission. To be the unseen hand, the silent guardians. And it had just begun.
