Ficool

Chapter 1 - Prologue

They never truly saw him—even when he sat in the same room, worked on the same tasks, breathed the same air—his existence was completely ignored. No one saw him.

Since childhood, Reno had walked in the shadows.

In elementary school, he still believed that kindness would be rewarded. He smiled even when erasers were thrown at him, helped classmates who didn't even remember his name, and eagerly raised his hand only to be told to be quiet. Even when he didn't understand, he still tried.

Middle school taught him silence. If he didn't speak, maybe people wouldn't think he was weird. But they still avoided him. He sat alone during ceremonies, was never asked to join group projects, never noticed when absent. The most painful thing wasn't the insults—it was the silence.

As if he didn't exist.

High school turned him into a tool. He became the errand boy—buying lunch, doing other people's assignments, writing group reports all by himself. They said he was useful. But never once said thank you.

Then came college...

He still hadn't given up. Still tried to be kind. Diligent. Unobtrusive. But the world stayed the same. He was mocked for the way he walked. Accused of being a know-it-all when he answered questions. Called creepy simply for being quiet.

"Reno? He's… creepy."

"Just ignore him."

"Don't sit next to him—he might start talking to you."

There was no physical violence. But the wounds... ran deeper, more painful. Reno slowly began to disappear—not his body, but his soul. He lived like a ghost. No one greeted him. No one cared.

And in the end... no one really knew when Reno vanished.

That night, he sat alone in front of his glowing computer. The room light was dim. No sound. No crying. No note. Just a silence that had become far too familiar.

He closed his eyes, trying to rest them from the screen. Old memories quietly returned, and for a moment, a small smile crossed his lips.

He opened his eyes again, trying to focus back on his screen, trying to keep working...

...but when Reno opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a soft blue sky, towering unfamiliar trees, and a crisp, foreign air. Birdsong he had never heard before. Grass beneath him.

He slowly sat up, realizing he was on the edge of a forest.

"A… forest? What happened?"

Something felt strange. Just moments ago, he had been at his computer—but now, here he was, in the middle of nature?

Could this be what they call another world?

Reno liked reading isekai stories—stories of other worlds—but he never expected to experience it himself. And to him, that was the only logical explanation: he had been transported to another world.

"So quiet… as always."

He murmured softly, to no one in particular, just to himself. And for the first time in his life, Reno felt he wasn't being watched. No judging eyes. No whispering voices. No stares.

Just himself, and a new world… that didn't know him.

And if no one knew who he was, then he could become anyone—anything—he wanted.
