Chapter 78 - Chapter 78

Mira's expression returned to serious. "Because their activities have become more frequent lately."

"We made it through! We really made it through!" the others shouted in their hearts.

"We must strengthen coordination and cooperation between guilds," Mira continued.

"What's this big circle?" Gray asked loudly.

"I know about the Balam Alliance," Juvia spoke up. "It consists of three dark guilds: the Six Demon Generals, Grimoire Heart, and Tartaros. They are the biggest powers in the darkness. Each has a directly affiliated guild that controls the dark world. Raven Tail is the only one independent of them."

When the name Raven Tail was mentioned, the other guild members didn't show any reaction. They didn't know it was the guild of Laxus's father, Ivan. But Chen Fan knew, Ivan was a cruel man who could even use his own son for experiments.

Suddenly, Lucy interrupted Chen Fan's thoughts. "Huh? The Iron Forest..." her eyes shifted to Erza.

"Yes, that's the guild owned by Eligaur," Erza nodded.

"It's also a guild under the command of the Six Demon Generals," Gray added.

"Many familiar names," Wakaba said.

"There are still many formal guilds there," Macao continued. They were two old generation wizards who knew a lot about guild history.

"So are the corpse souls defeated by the God of Thunder," Mira said.

"Juvia, Gajeel, and I also defeated some such guilds when we were still in Phantom. They are all guilds under the command of the Six Demon Generals," Juvia said with a smile.

"Don't say that with a smile," Gray protested.

Lucy trembled in fear. "What should I do? I hope they don't hold a grudge," her voice trembled.

Seeing Lucy's fear, Wakaba immediately approached her. "It's okay, don't worry. The legend says there are only six of them."

"It's really a small guild," Macao added. Both of them acted as if they were heroes saving a lady.

Lucy smiled in relief, but her happiness didn't last long. Mira said, "Although there are only six, they are still the biggest force."

Suddenly, Makarov's voice was heard. "Regarding the Six Demon Generals, it has been decided that we will defeat them."

"Ah..." everyone was surprised and exclaimed in unison.

At this moment, Mira suddenly greeted Makarov. "Welcome back, President. How was the regular meeting?"

"Bang!"

Everyone fell down, shocked by Mira's casual remark. After getting up, Lucy patted Mira on the shoulder. "Now is not the time to talk about that."

Erza took a step forward. "President, what happened?"

"During the regular meeting a few days ago, the issue of the Six Demon Generals was brought up. Since we can't ignore them, we decided that certain guilds would destroy them."

"Another bad draw, Grandpa?"

"Is Fairy Tail responsible for this mission?"

"No, this time the enemy is too strong. If we fight alone, we will become a thorn in the side of the Balam Alliance. Therefore, we decided to form a joint force."

"A joint force?"

"Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Cait Shelter, four major guilds will choose members to work together to defeat them!"

"Why do I have to participate in such a dangerous battle plan? Why are there so few of us? And why is he sleeping so soundly?" Lucy complained loudly from inside the train, pointing at a fast-asleep Chen Fan.

"Hey, Lucy, you're already complaining. What's the difference if Chen Fan sleeps or not when we've reached this level?" Happy retorted.

"I also feel this is troublesome. Stop complaining," Gray said, his tone flat.

"Ouch..." some of them sighed.

Seeing their sluggish faces, Erza said, "You are the people chosen by the President. Don't complain. Shouldn't we live up to his expectations?"

Everyone fell silent. Natsu, who was half-dead from motion sickness, didn't react at all. Lucy thought for a moment. "But if we want to fight, don't we still have Juvia and Gajeel?"

"They both have other jobs and couldn't come," Happy said.

"That's good, right? We're all original members and we know each other well. This is the first time we're cooperating with other guilds, so the most important thing is to ensure our own guild members work well together," Erza said.

"Um... I don't want to say this, but when have we ever cooperated? We don't have a plan at all. We all fight on our own. There's even one person who never participates in the fight," Lucy complained.

"Ah! Is that so? I never realized it. It seems our cooperation has gone beyond the limits of a plan," Erza replied.
