Chen Fan also looked at the sky. 'It seems I was too fast.' He had defeated Laxus, the boss, before Erza and the others had a chance to destroy the Shining Palace. It felt like he wasn't playing by the rules, like Light Yagami not following his own game.
Warren's voice continued. "You who are still fighting, stop now! Listen carefully, use any means to destroy the objects floating above the city! That's Laxus's magic that's attacking this city! There's no time! Everyone, attack together!"
Suddenly, Erza's voice broke through the telepathy. "Warren, how did you know about the Shining Palace?"
"That voice... Erza? You're okay?" Gray asked, his voice full of relief.
"Gray, so it's you," Erza said, understanding how Warren had found out.
"Yeah, it took a lot of effort to find this guy," Gray replied.
The others heard the exchange and began to talk. "Erza, has your petrification magic worn off?" Macao asked.
Erza's face flushed, a memory of Chen Fan's "magical touch" flashing through her mind. Chen Fan was annoyed. 'Macao really says the most unimportant things. He could have just said Erza was fine like Gray.' But then he thought of the touch... and let out a lewd laugh, a disgusting stream of drool dripping from the corner of his mouth. People on the street looked at him with strange eyes, surely thinking he was a psychopath, just like when he had teleported and grabbed her chest.
"Since Erza's okay, that's enough."
"Where are the others? Where's Levy?" Droy and Jet said in unison.
"Everyone is fine, don't worry."
"Juvia is fine too," Elfman cut in.
"Bisca is also fine, Alzack," Mira interjected from the side.
"Oh, that's great," Alzack sighed in relief, sitting down in a corner.
Warren continued. "Sorry, my message can't reach the guild. Anyway, whoever can hear me, please take care of the people floating in the air..." But Warren was cut off by Max.
"Warren, you bastard! Did you forget what you did to me?!"
"Max, I was wrong back then! I was desperate to save Erza and the others!" Before Warren could finish, another voice was heard.
"I'm Dolor. You hear me, Alzack?"
"I hear you! And I'm sorry about that sneak attack."
"Can it be forgiven with just an apology? That was a cowardly move!"
"You too, Wakaba!"
"That's unacceptable!"
The conversation quickly descended into chaos as everyone began arguing again.
Gray's eyes darkened behind Warren. He couldn't take it anymore. "Save the arguing for later!" he yelled directly into Warren's ear.
An even louder scream was heard. "It's not your turn to talk!" Warren yelled back, pushing Gray away.
Gray yelled into Warren's ear again. "There's no time! Destroy everything floating in the air!"
"You might not know it, but I'm very strong when I'm serious."
"What? Stop talking nonsense!"
"It's not your turn to talk, you bastard!"
Everyone was a mess again. Chen Fan was desperate. 'This is exactly Fairy Tail's style.' He wanted to stop them, but...
Suddenly, Lucy's voice rang out, clear and steady. "Everyone, listen to me! This is not the time to fight! If this continues, the people in the city will be in danger! Let's work together to protect Magnolia! As long as we work together, any difficulty can be overcome! This is what I learned here! I've only been in Fairy Tail for a short time, but I won't lose to anyone when it comes to caring about our guild! Fairy Tail has always been my dream and my longing! It's still the same! I'm begging you, let's work together to protect our guild and our city!" Finally, without Warren's spell, her voice reached everyone's ears.
"If I can't do it, I'll destroy all those magic crystals by myself!" Lucy said, pulling out her whip.
After listening to Lucy, Chen Fan realized he had made a mistake. No one here knew the plot like he did. They had great power, but they were like a baseball player who, with two strikes and three balls, could still end the game with one hit. He had forgotten that the most precious thing in Fairy Tail was not power, but the feeling of cherishing everyone around them, protecting their family, and fighting together. He had become like Makarov, taking all the responsibility. It was time for them to also protect their home. 'How ironic. I just finished talking with Makarov, and I myself made a mistake. Maybe it's because of my age.'
While Chen Fan was deep in thought, everyone's attacks had already begun. A torrent of magic spells, all mixed together, shot toward the Shining Palace. The sight was magnificent.
"Bang... Bang..." The sound of continuous explosions filled the air. Chen Fan covered his head. 'They say they're working together, but there's a huge time delay.' 'Let them suffer a little. After all, no one's going to die.'
Sure enough, before anyone could cheer, they were scorched by the lightning. "Ah!" they screamed. Chen Fan's heart trembled just hearing it.
"Everyone, are you all okay? Honestly, you guys were just messing around," Erza's voice said.
"Same here."
"Our guild is a great guild!"
"If only Laxus wasn't in his rebellious phase."
