"Hello! Well—"
"I am here!"
All Might landed in front of us, but this time he seemed… out of ideas for his introduction.
"It's time for hero studies!" He got straight to explaining the class.
"??"
"Today we will put the results of your internships to the test!"
"Today we'll have a rescue race!!"
He pressed a button next to the gigantic door, which opened automatically, revealing a huge space.
"This is training field: Gamma!" He extended his arm toward the field.
It was basically a gigantic maze filled with industrial and construction elements.
'Nezu-sensei really has a lot of money…'
"One important thing to keep in mind!"
All Might pointed directly at Bakugo.
"Cause as little damage as possible to the buildings!"
Bakugo looked away, gritting his teeth and asking All Might not to point at him.
─── ◆ ───
The first group was formed by: Sero, Mina, Iida, Midoriya, and me.
Basically most of the class with good mobility, but Bakugo, Himiko, and the tail guy were missing...
Yeah… that was definitely his name.
"Ready?"
We all nodded.
"START!!"
I jumped as high as I could, and using my Rinkaku, I started swinging forward and upward.
Sero seemed to have the same idea of reaching the top of the terrain.
"Hehe, let's go Kaneki!" Sero swung like Spider-Man through the buildings, passing me.
'It's a great terrain for him, but I'm still better at maneuvering…'
As I closed the distance between me and Sero, I saw a green blur pass by my side.
'...Is that?'
'Midoriya??'
Midoriya overtook Sero at an insane speed, leaving him completely perplexed and confused.
Of course, I took the opportunity to leave Sero in third place, but I was also confused by Midoriya's change.
His whole body was surrounded by green lightning, he was finally using his powers without breaking himself.
Midoriya propelled himself jump after jump across the pipes.
But…
He seemed overly focused on not breaking himself. I noticed that as I caught up to him.
"Midoriya! I think you should—"
"AHHHHHH!!"
CLANG!
"..."
I tried to warn him to watch where he was stepping, but at that exact moment, he slipped on the edge of a metal pipe and went straight down.
Luckily, the fall wasn't too big… but he still hit his face against another metal pipe.

Bakugo's POV
Kaneki ended up winning after that idiot Deku slipped and fell.
The worst part was that the bastard was using my moves!
HOW did he memorize that???
I know he has that weird habit of writing things down in a notebook but…
'Ewww, how long has that freak been stalking me to memorize that?'

Kaneki's POV
We're back in the locker room.
The weather was turning, looking like it was going to rain heavily, so everyone was in a bit of a hurry to leave.
"Oh… I even broke a sweat today… It's been a while since we had an exercise."
Aoyama wiped the sweat from his forehead with a small cloth, speaking in a less exaggerated tone, something rare coming from him.
"I need to improve my mobility…" Kirishima grumbled while taking off his shirt.
Then Kaminari called us:
"...Guys… take a look at this."
We all turned to him. Kaminari pulled the edge of a locker room rules poster, revealing a hole in the wall.
"I think it leads to the girls' locker room…" He scratched his head, a bit uncomfortable.
"We should cover that!" Iida was the first to react.
"Yeah," the others replied in unison.
'Maybe I could put my Kagune there… but it wouldn't last long before I'd have to feed it with blood.'
I tapped the wall twice, and from the other side we heard the girls talking:
"We heard that! YaoMomo will cover it!" I think it was Toru, but her voice was muffled.
'To think something like this would exist in a supposed hero school… sigh.'
─── ◆ ───
Himi and I said goodbye to our friends, but as soon as we stepped out from UA's covered area, the rain started.
Naturally, we grabbed an umbrella and continued our walk home.
Note that we had more than one umbrella, but Himiko "insisted" we share just one. In quotes because I'm not against the idea at all.
The rain quickly got heavier, so we picked up the pace.
But in the middle of the sidewalk, I noticed a small trembling thing in the rain.
"..."
We stopped over the little thing, preventing the rain from falling directly on it, though the wind was still affecting it.
I handed the umbrella to Himiko and crouched down.
"What is this little one?" Himiko had to raise her voice a lot for me to hear her.
It was a small owl, completely soaked by the rain.
I carefully picked it up in my hand and covered it with the other.
I stood up and showed Himiko the poor little thing.
"Awwn."
"It's a owl… let's take it home to warm it up."
We took the owl home. I was very careful not to squeeze it, worried it might be hurt.
I placed it on a cloth and tried to check for injuries, broken wings, things like that.
It stayed still the entire time, maybe too stressed and tired to react.
For some reason, one of her eyes was almost always closed, but she opened it at one point, almost as if she wanted to show me that she wasn't hurt.
"It doesn't seem injured." I sat in a lotus position in front of it.
"Phew, so we just need to dry and warm it up?"
"Yeah."
Himiko got up to grab something to dry the little one, which already seemed a bit better.
Noticing the improvement, I decided to take a picture, honestly, the owl looked pretty funny at that moment.
Himiko came back with a soft cloth, and together we dried the little owl.
After that, I warmed it with my hands until it stopped trembling.
We gave it some water, and after resting, when the rain stopped, it flew out the window.
It was very rewarding to rescue the little owl, and after some research, it seemed to be a Japanese long-eared owl.
Knowing the little creature was okay, I took the photo and made a sticker of it, with text below saying "Pode não man…"
(In English: "Maybe not, man…")
Based on a sticker I had in my previous life.
I sent it straight to the 1-A group, completely forgetting that the sticker was in Portuguese.
[Group chat: ????]
