Killian walked and stopped in front of the gate. He hadn't gone out yet; he had come up with a way to get inside the serpent's belly without being chewed to death.
He should be afraid, but all he feels is an immense rage. A tremendous rage knowing this serpent beast hurt his person.
He watched with cold eyes.
The serpent crawled across the ground, its fangs peeking behind its teeth. Its huge eyes are glowing in the light.
He stepped before the gate, allowing the serpent to see him. It froze in its spot and released a loud hiss.
His ears burned from its loud noise, but he ignored it.
"Come and get me, you dirty animal."
He spoke in the quiet arena except for his voice and the serpent.
The serpent showed its teeth, looking menacing and deadly, and it raced toward him, slamming into the walls once but getting back on track before heading to him.
Killian relaxed his body, waiting for the creature to open its mouth so he could be swallowed.
