I went back to my room.
Killian was lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling like there were a bunch of secrets hiding in it.
I smirked. "What are you looking at?"
Killian turned, looking at me with rolling eyes.
He asked, "Where have you been? You've been for so long."
I said, "I didn't realize I was gone for so long. My bad."
I smiled sincerely, and I went next to him and sat by his side. "Come on, it's late now; we should go to sleep."
Killian narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "Really, you went for a walk? Why do I feel like you're lying to me?"
I wrapped my arms around him, secretly happy he didn't push me away. His arms were warm, and I couldn't stop thinking about the feeling within my hands.
"Well, I did meet Soren, and he wanted to have a drink with me, but nothing else happened."
Killain's eyes turned sharp as a dagger, and he looked across my body like he was looking for any injuries.
He asked, "Are you certain he didn't do anything to you?"
