I turned to Liora and asked her, "Are you okay with me carrying you?"
Liora looked at me in surprise and shook her head, "No need. I'm indeed in pain, but I can still walk."
I nodded despite being worried. I looked back at Killian, who was facing forward, even though I couldn't see his face. For some reason, he seemed displeased. I wonder why?
Just ignore him and get to safety, I told myself. I half-carried Liora in my arms, helping her walk, but she kept walking with a limp in her legs. I looked at her face and could see the pain and agony she was trying to hide.
I sighed, my heart twinging in pain. I looked at her closely and stopped, which made her reveal an expression of surprise. "Uhh? What's wrong?"
I bent my knees and lifted her into my arms. She let out a soft shout, "Youu!"
I grinned, "Hey, don't blame me since you're walking slowly. Just bear with me."
