Scene 1 – Chains Spreading
The floor rumbled with a deep metallic groan, as if the entire chamber was alive and breathing. Jemil's golden shackles suddenly unraveled, spilling outward in every direction. The links slithered like serpents, their shine both beautiful and terrifying, catching the glow of Lyra's flames as they lunged toward his wives.
Kaelina reacted first, her blade flashing in a desperate arc. Steel rang against chain, sparks scattering, but the sound was hollow—empty. The chain didn't break. It flexed, absorbed the strike, then lashed around her wrist.
"Stay back!" Kaelina shouted, teeth clenched as another coil snaked around her waist. She fought to rip free, her sword arm trembling under the pressure. "These chains… they want me—!"
