Jayden sat leisurely, watching his Star Performer train behind the glass partition with a smile on his face.
He felt the presence of his maid behind him, then heard the sound of her footsteps as she walked over to stand beside him.
Jayden smiled, his face turning wistful.
"How time flies. In the past I might have been able to handle my Star Performer easily whenever I suppressed my strength, but now..."
Gleeful laughter escaped his lips.
"I am afraid that if I am not careful, I will end up losing instead. Peculiar, don't you think?"
Yulvaris didn't reply, only tilting her head slightly at his words. Then she turned her gaze away from Kelly and toward him, her eyes narrowing.
"What game are you playing? Why do you care so much for the human girl, even going this far to help her? While I do not know your history, I can tell she despises you. Yet you still persist."
Then her voice lowered, dripping with disappointment.
