Honestly, Kelly wasn't exactly sure that this little plan of hers was ever going to work.
She hadn't just magically conjured it up on the spot, though. From the very moment she had created those Eagle summons, she couldn't resist also creating something else as a failsafe, just in case things began to go horribly wrong.
And things did indeed begin to go horribly wrong.
She had done it all out of habit. After all, Kelly had never let herself walk blindly into battles without a plan B, at least not if she could help it. But this plan had a few loopholes.
For one, she had to make sure the creature was subtle and looked harmless, while also keeping it hidden from the eyes of a deadly abomination whose true abilities she had no idea about.
An abomination that might very well be capable of reading snippets of her mind.
And most importantly…
The bitch herself had to be really, really weak.
