Unlike now, when transmigrator missions had barely shown up a few times, and one of them had even gotten away thanks to Minato Namikaze.
Sure, they wouldn't say anything about it given who he was, but there was still a lingering sense of遗憾 and missed opportunity.
Ninth Prince of Qin: "I understand what you're getting at, but as a transmigrator, seeing this still feels… strange."
Would he have one day been hunted by forces from across the heavens too, if he hadn't joined the chat group?
Ordinary Group Leader: "Honestly, it's not that bad. Feels like transmigrators without cheats aren't even worth the system's time."
Ordinary Group Leader: "You don't have a cheat, after all."
Ninth Prince of Qin: "."
Didn't have to say it out loud.
Sacred Guardian Left Wing: "Huh?"
Sacred Guardian Left Wing: "@Saeko Busujima, something seems to have gone wrong in your world."
While Su Yunqing was lamenting the lack of transmigrator missions, Angel Yan's voice rang out in the chat group.
Saeko Busujima: "My world?"
Saeko looked at Angel Yan's message with some confusion.
She'd already struck a deal with the Angel Civilization — the zombie virus would never appear, and any related materials had been destroyed by the authorities above.
So how could there be a problem?
Could someone have held back the zombie virus?
But that was impossible. Under the Angels' watchful eyes, who could possibly hide something from them?
Ordinary Group Leader: "The mission function finally produced a real mission!"
Ordinary Group Leader: "It's just… why does it not look like a transmigrator mission?"
Ordinary Group Leader: "Interdimensional invasion?"
After Angel Yan said her first piece, Su Yunqing immediately checked the mission function — and sure enough, a new mission had appeared.
But it wasn't the transmigrator mission she'd been expecting.
[Mission World: Chat Group Member Saeko Busujima's World]
[Mission Difficulty: Medium]
[Mission Personnel: Unlimited]
[Mission Introduction: Chat Group Member Saeko Busujima's world has been invaded by interdimensional species. The invading species possess no capacity for thought, have exceptionally strong constitutions, and exhibit extremely high defensive capabilities.]
[Mission Requirement: Eliminate all interdimensional species invading Chat Group Member Saeko Busujima's world.]
[Mission Reward: Automatically distributed by the chat group based on each member's contribution share.]
Saeko Busujima: "Interdimensional invasion?"
Saeko Busujima: "This…"
Seeing her world's crisis laid out on the mission screen, Saeko momentarily didn't know what to say.
She'd thought it was the zombie virus — or some new virus evolved from it.
Turns out it was none of that!
The plotlines from novels were happening in reality again, huh.
What a disaster-prone world she lived in.
Richest Man: "This mission looks odd, doesn't it?"
Tony Stark gazed at the mission information on the screen and couldn't help but furrow his brow.
Richest Man: "Invading species with no capacity for thought — that means they're probably extremely low-intelligence, maybe not even as smart as cats or dogs."
Richest Man: "But with intelligence that low, neither technology nor mysticism could have advanced to any particularly profound level."
Richest Man: "So how did they even manage to invade Saeko Busujima's world?"
Richest Man: "Or — is there a higher-level civilization that opened a gate to Saeko Busujima's world, and these species are being controlled by them to test her world's strength?"
Ninth Prince of Qin: "That's not impossible."
Ninth Prince of Qin: "Only — if that were truly the case, the chat group should have included relevant information."
Ordinary Group Leader: "Can't say for sure."
Ordinary Group Leader: "You joined the chat group too late. Most of its functions are already fully developed now."
Ordinary Group Leader: "If you'd been among the earlier batches of chat group members, you'd know how pathetic it was back then."
Ordinary Group Leader: "It even dared to mute ME — the group leader!"
Regarding Ying Zi'nian's words, Su Yunqing disagreed wholeheartedly.
He had joined the chat group far too late to imagine how bare-bones the chat group had been in its early days.
No features at all. Lottery draws never gave good prizes.
And it had the nerve to mute the group leader!
The worst part was that as group leader, she had zero special privileges — just a 30% discount.
Absolutely garbage!
So a lack of detailed mission descriptions? That was hardly impossible.
Ninth Prince of Qin: "."
Ninth Prince of Qin: "Is it really that exaggerated?"
Honestly, when Ying Zi'nian first learned that Su Yunqing only had a 30% discount as group leader, he was only half-convinced. Influenced by all those transmigrator chat group novels from his past life, he'd always assumed group leaders enjoyed a 90% discount.
A whole 30% difference — that wasn't small.
Later, he'd also heard from other chat group members that Su Yunqing couldn't even kick people out or invite new ones.
Those were the most basic group leader permissions.
Now even the chat group muting the group leader had come out.
Either Su Yunqing was very good at hiding her true power — or this chat group really was different from what he'd imagined.
Utaha: "Why overthink it? Would anyone actually choose not to go?"
Utaha: "Unlimited personnel!"
Utaha: "Didn't think there'd be a mission I could actually participate in this quickly!"
Utaha: "The points I earn this time, if I spend them on another lottery draw, I'm a dog!"
Utaha: "Gnashing teeth.jpg"
Richest Man: "."
Richest Man: "While I have my doubts about your declaration of never drawing the lottery again, you're right about one thing."
Richest Man: "No matter what, there's no way we'd skip this mission."
Richest Man: "King faces king, general faces general — if there's a powerful civilization beyond the mission, we can just let Aizen, Vovin, and the others handle them."
Richest Man: "And if worst comes to worst, there's still Angel Yan, Morgana, and Baixuan."
With so many heavy hitters in the chat group, what was there to worry about?
The Most Ancient Godslayer: "."
Fifth Division Captain: "."
Demon Queen: "."
Richest Man: "Aren't you all the type who picks the strongest opponents to fight?"
Richest Man: "It's not like you'd compete with us for the small fry."
Richest Man: "Naturally, all that attention would be on you."
Richest Man: "Then why would they have any room left to keep an eye on us?"
Tony said dismissively.
The Most Ancient Godslayer: "An invasion of worlds?"
The Most Ancient Godslayer: "Heh."
The Most Ancient Godslayer: "If there truly is a more powerful civilization behind them, I hope their strength proves interesting enough to amuse this old man."
Vovin said coolly.
Simulterrain: "Um, if it really is a powerful civilization orchestrating this world invasion, then their civilization probably isn't weaker than the Angel Civilization or the Demon Civilization, right?"
Simulterrain: "After all, the mission description says interdimensional civilization — not just another universe."
Simulterrain: "Even with the Angel Civilization and Demon Civilization's current technology, it seems pretty unlikely they could cross over into other worlds, you know?"
