AZRAYEL'S POV
Azrayel stared down at his hand around the door handle.
He had been standing there longer than necessary.
From the edge of his vision, the reason remained impossible to ignore. His trousers were still painfully tight despite the walk from the western strategy room and every attempt he had made along the way to force his body under control.
It had started in Metheea's chamber that morning.
He had left before anyone noticed.
Or at least he hoped he had.
"Your Highness."
Azrayel lifted his head.
Yise stood several paces away with his arms folded across his chest. The guards beside the doors kept their faces carefully blank, though Azrayel doubted either of them had missed the fact that the princess had entered his chambers in the middle of the night wearing a sleeping gown and a robe barely tied around her.
His irritation sharpened.
"Return to her chambers."
Yise's brows lifted.
"I will bring her back."
