Mi-woo dashed toward the yellow-haired kid, shouting—
[Wu Suk, you bastard!]
Wu Suk turned around and saw his friend lying on the ground, blood dripping from Mi-woo's hands. He immediately understood what was happening.
Before Mi-woo could get close, Wu Suk stepped back, putting distance between them. He pulled out his geometry box, opened it, and grabbed a pencil.
-----------
Name: Wu Suk
Ability: Killer Writer — Any writing tool in his hand strengthens his body, and the tool becomes a C-rank weapon.
...
As soon as he held the pencil, his tattoo began to appear—glowing faintly on the left side of his face, near his eye.
Without hesitation, Wu Suk attacked, swinging the pencil at Mi-woo's neck. But Mi-woo's training kicked in. He instinctively dodged to the left and ignored the attack.
Wu Suk shouted—
[You fu#&%er—]
Before he could finish, Mi-woo grabbed a flower pot nearby and slammed it into Wu Suk's head. It didn't do much damage, but it blocked Wu Suk's vision just long enough. Mi-woo ducked, grabbed a rubber eraser lying on the ground among the scattered tools, and delivered a strong uppercut.
Mi-woo yelled—
[You a##hol&, you know what cancels a pencil? It's fu#&%ing rubberrrr!]
Wu Suk dropped to the floor, unconscious.
(Hunters like red-haired Chan-woo or Wu Suk—both C-rank—could survive two buses crashing into them without a scratch. But one punch from powerless failure Mi-woo knocked them out cold.)
---
After seeing this, the brown-haired, muscular bully ran into the classroom where Han Ji-hoon was sitting.
Han Ji-hoon was near the window, on the opposite side of the door, calmly watching the scenery outside.
Lee Chan-wook (the muscular bully) burst in, panting—
[Boss, run! That psycho is looking for you! Huff... huff...]
Han turned to him, raising an eyebrow.
[What happened, Musclehead? Why are you screaming? Everyone's staring now.]
Lee Chan-wook's voice trembled—
[Boss, he took down both Chan-woo and Wu Suk… he's beating them senseless! Even though they're already unconscious…]
(His voice was full of fear. His eyes, like prey staring into the mouth of a predator.)
Han's expression hardened. From past experiences with real Hunters, he knew what genuine fear looked like.
[Who took them down? What rank was he?] he asked.
Lee Chan-wook. looked down.
[He's the nerd we beat up this morning… He's a psycho.]
Han frowned.
[So he awakened? What rank?]
Chan-wook
shook his head slowly.
[That's the worst part… He has no power. No tattoo. No aura. His watch is still glowing yellow.]
Han laughed in disbelief.
[Is this a joke? How can a powerless turd take down two C-rank Hunters?]
Lee Chan-wook, now drenched in sweat, raised his voice—
[I swear on my mother, boss! It's true! I saw it with my own eyes! He took them down with a single punch—didn't even stop after knocking them out!]
Suddenly, they heard heavy footsteps. Mi-woo was coming. The atmosphere grew heavier and heavier. Lee Chan-wook froze, like a deer caught in a lion's jaw.
[Ba-dump][. Ba-dump]. [Ba-dump.]
His heart beat so loudly Han could hear it from a meter away.
Chan-wook turned to run. His tattoo glowed on his forehead, and his body began to turn into steel. It wasn't a full transformation—but enough to sprint for the door.
Just as he was about to escape, he stopped.
Something froze him in place.
Mi-woo's hand was pressed against his chest.
His eyes rolled back. Consciousness left him.
---
Seeing this, Han Ji-hoon stood up. Golden aura coated his body.
Mi-woo rushed in—
—and kicked him square in the chest.
The entire class froze.
Like fish silently floating around a sleeping crocodile.
Then—
SLAP.
SLAP. SLAP. SLAP.
Mi-woo slapped Han over and over again.
