Chapter 141 Tang San: I Really Didn't Mean to Kill Him!
Soul Duel Stage.
Manager Ao and the staff of the Soul Duel Arena were cleaning up the stage.
Yu Xiaogang was also present, staring at a jade dish containing samples of the poison.
His nephew had been poisoned to death by Tang San's toxins.
Yu Xiaogang refused to believe it.
He knew Tang San's three Soul Skills all too well.
They contained poison, but the toxicity wasn't strong enough. Given his nephew's Lightning Power's natural resistance to toxins, there was no way it could have killed Yu Tianheng.
Yet facts spoke louder than words.
The deadly poison of the Man-faced Demon Spider was right before his eyes—could it really have been Xiao San?
In a rest room of the Great Soul Arena...
Xiao Wu's arm had been treated and set after the battle, and she was now leaning against Tang San to recover her strength.
On a nearby sofa lay Dai Mubai. The Azure Phosphorus Violet Venom in his body had been neutralized by Dugu Yan, and though his face was still pale, his injuries no longer risked worsening.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing stood nearby, seemingly still reflecting on the earlier battle.
Only Ma Hongjun and Oscar remained in high spirits.
"Third Brother, you hid it so well! The Clear Sky Crown is actually your father! That arrogant Yu Luomian was about to make a move, but the moment the Clear Sky Crown appeared, he immediately backed down!" Ma Hongjun exclaimed in exaggerated admiration.
Tang San was just as shocked as Ma Hongjun. "My father and I lived in Holy Soul Village outside Notting City. He was the only blacksmith in the village—I never imagined he was the Haotian Douluo!"
Tang San sighed helplessly.
"No way! The Clear Sky Crown truly lives up to being a Titled Douluo—even raising his son in such a unique way. Xiao San, if you'd known your father was a Titled Douluo from the start, you might not have trained so hard! Hey, Little Horse, do you think I might have a hidden Titled Douluo father too?"
Oscar suddenly chimed in.
As an orphan adopted by Flender, he tried to lighten the mood with a joke.
"Perhaps my father had his reasons for keeping it hidden." Tang San shook his head. He didn't believe Tang Hao had done this to train him.
Tang Hao had always been a drunken wreck—that couldn't have been an act.
For a man of such immense power to fall into such despair, he must have suffered a tremendous blow.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing both showed curiosity.
They were well aware of Tang Hao's past.
After his conflict with the Spirit Hall, Tang Hao had disappeared without a trace.
No one expected him to be hiding in a small village—without even his son knowing his true identity.
If Tang San hadn't been in danger this time, Tang Hao might never have revealed himself.
"Xiao Ao, whether you have a hidden Titled Douluo father or not, I don't know. But you'll definitely have a Titled Douluo brother! I've decided—from now on, the Clear Sky Crown is my idol! I'm going to become a Titled Douluo just like him, feared and respected wherever I go!"
Ma Hongjun lifted his chin proudly.
"Keep dreaming! You? A Titled Douluo?" Oscar scoffed, mocking him.
"Xiao Ao, have you forgotten? During the Soul Duel, when that Wind Chime Bird Soul Master attacked you and Rongrong with his Wing Blades, who was it that blocked them for you?" Ma Hongjun huffed.
"Well, have you forgotten? When that Control System Soul Master's poison spread across the arena, who gave you the Antidote Sausage that kept you going?"
Oscar retorted with a quick tongue.
Just as Ma Hongjun was about to continue arguing, the door to the restroom was pushed open, and Yu Xiaogang walked in.
"Xiao San, come out for a moment."
Yu Xiaogang didn't enter the room, merely calling from the doorway.
Tang San nodded at Xiao Wu and immediately stepped out.
"Teacher, I'm sorry. I lost control and used the Man-faced Demon Spider's deadly poison during the Soul Duel!"
Tang San bowed his head respectfully.
By now, he knew about Yu Tianheng's relationship with his teacher and straightforwardly admitted his mistake.
But if given another chance, he would still use the Man-faced Demon Spider's poison.
Anyone who dared harm Xiao Wu would pay the price, no matter who they were.
It was just that Yu Tianheng was too fragile—he couldn't even hold on for a moment. That wasn't Tang San's fault.
He truly hadn't meant to kill Yu Tianheng.
Yu Xiaogang stared at Tang San for a long time without speaking.
"Didn't I tell you before that you have a very bad flaw—being too impulsive? Why couldn't you control yourself this time?"
Yu Xiaogang scolded.
Tang San quickly replied, "Teacher, do you believe in me?"
A gentle light appeared in Yu Xiaogang's eyes as he patted Tang San's head. "How could I not believe you?"
Tang San's eyes grew hot. His teacher's nephew had died because of him, yet his teacher still treated him the same as before, without any change.
Emotionally, he said, "When Xiao Wu was injured, I did have the thought of retaliating at all costs.
But you taught me, as a Control System Soul Master, to control the battlefield, my teammates, my enemies, and even my own emotions.
I did use the Man-faced Demon Spider's deadly poison, but I controlled the dosage.
Yu Tianheng's Soul Power Level was higher than mine, and he had lightning-attribute Soul Power. I thought he could endure it—I just wanted to teach him a lesson.
I really didn't mean to kill him!!"
Tang San defended himself, his tone utterly sincere.
Yu Xiaogang was taken aback. He believed Tang San wouldn't lie to him.
He also trusted Tang San's control abilities.
So why had his nephew died?
With so many powerful figures present, including Haotian Douluo, no one could have secretly intervened without being noticed.
Yu Xiaogang shook his head and sighed helplessly. "I believe you didn't intend to kill Tianheng. Perhaps his Soul Power wasn't strong enough to resist the poison."
That was the only explanation.
"Xiao San, Clear Sky Crown has already left."
Yu Xiaogang didn't bring up Yu Tianheng's matter again.
"Father is gone?"
Tang San was frantic. He hadn't seen his father in six years.
His father was his only family in this world.
They had only met briefly on the arena, where his father had sent him to take care of Xiao Wu.
He had so much to say to his father after treating Xiao Wu, but now he was already gone?
"Clear Sky Crown said there are many things you don't need to know yet.
For now, you just need to grow stronger. Only when you reach a certain level of strength will you be qualified to know, and then he will naturally meet you."
Yu Xiaogang had received Tang Hao's message.
He agreed with Tang Hao's approach—Spirit Hall was too formidable an enemy. At this stage, Tang San only needed to focus on training and shouldn't be entangled in further conflicts.
A look of disappointment crossed Tang San's face.
But now that he knew his father's identity, he could guess many things.
Tang San, who had never truly experienced paternal love.
Even though Tang Hao had only raised him as a child and taught him blacksmithing.
Tang San had already developed a sense of dependence on Tang Hao—he was his father after all.
"Go back and celebrate with your teammates. With this victory in the Soul Duel, your team has now reached the Gold Soul Duel level.
Among teams of the same rank, you are the strongest.
If you continue cultivating like this, you will undoubtedly become one of the top powerhouses on the continent!"
Yu Xiaogang patted Tang San's shoulder, offering him encouragement.
