Min and Yin are siblings from a small village called Rakai in the country of Thamerns. It was a peaceful life for them until a civil war happened after the king passed away.
The dukes want the first princess to take the throne as she manage most of the national affairs and has good relationship with the dukes. But the generals want the second prince to take the throne as he fought many battles with them and their relationship is like brothers.
The two factions cannot agree on who to take the throne and then they fight each other for the one they want to throne. But the ones who suffer most are the innocent civilians who have no relationship with either the princess or the prince.
Villages burned down. Cities destroyed. And many abdon their homes to avoid the war.
Rakai village also suffer the effect of war. Min and his families of three, his parents and his sister, also left their village to the safety.
There is a place where civil war can't reach out . It the capital city, the city of Yan. The citiy is protected because most of the wealth from both faction accumulate here as it is the capital city of country. So they decide to go there hoping they will be safe there.
But things don't get easy for them as they have to pass through a battlefield area to get the citiy of Yan.
There are many cities on the way and they will be killed if they take the wrong side while passing through.
The dukes faction cities will capture and kill then if the said they support general faction while requesting to pass through.
The general faction cities will also do the same if they said they support the other faction.
So for the safety of them , they have to make sure which side control the city and say the right words while asking them to pass through.
Things are getting smooth for them until they reach a certain city. As usual they said they side with the dukes faction and ask to pass through because there is a flag with a picture of phoenix, which is the flag of duke faction, at the city gate.
But inside the city, Min noticed something strange about the soldiers. He notices that some of the soldiers have glowing eye of green and red colours.
" Father we better hurry up and pass this city"
Min's father look at his son. He know the children were frighten but he take seriously about his son's s word.
" So what did you see son?"
Father asks Min as he know Min can see things that others can't see.
Min noticed that since he was 7 years old. He can see things others can't . He can learn faster then other children of his age. And he always feels like he is an adult who have experienced life for a long time even though he is still a child outside. He said about that only to his father . At first his father didn't believe him but after he had prove that by solving complicated math problems and warning the danger of wild animals , his father believed him.
" The eyes, they look different, I have only see green and red colour eyes on dangerous wild animals before. But I see them on soldiers"
The father pick up Min and grabb his wife hand.
" Lets rest when we get outside of the city! Buy food and let get going honey"
The mother nodded as she never doubted the decision of her husband.
" But I want to sleep in a bed father"
Yin doesn't like the decision of her father as she is tired and want a good rest.
" It is dangerous here sister "
Min whisper to his sister but a soldier passing by hears his small voice.
" There is nothing to worry here kids the city is safe"
" But why did your eyes are different."
" I only saw them on dangerous animal before"
Min asks him as he see the soldier's eye is glowing green.
The soldier expression changes as he hear Min's words.
" So you see us"
The family sense danger and the father was the first to react . He grabb them and quickly run away towards city gate, which leads to the forest.
The soldier with green eyes shouted to another soldier with red eyes.
" Hey the kid over there may be a seeker. He see us"
"So what are you waiting for quickly follow and kill him before he informs the radiants"
The red eye one get angry and follows for the family
The family quickly reach the city gate, passing through the crowd and run inside the forest.
" Yin take your brother and run insides the bushes. The bushes will cover your small bodies."
The father grabb his wife's hand and run to the opposite direction the kids run away. But the fate of the family don't favor them. They meets a tragic end. The one following the parents quickly catch them and kill. Then the incident of golden light happen while they are chasing the kids.
Min's thoughts suddenly brought back from past to present.
" Mother ! Father! Sorry you die because of my false."
