As the two conversed, Jiang An's brow remained furrowed as he was deep in thought.
He mulled over in his mind: Since the surveillance has been overwritten and the buyer is untraceable, with the other items left at the crime scene — besides the rope, there's also a woman's sanitary pad, a highly personal item with distinctly feminine features.
If someone accompanied Li Mei during the purchase, then this person must be very close to her.
Just as Jiang An was engrossed in thought, Director Tang suddenly spoke, interrupting his thoughts: "Xu Ming has gone to arrest Li Mei's boyfriend, Jiang Hui. He's likely interrogating him now; I'm unsure how it's progressing."
"They've already apprehended him for questioning?"
Jiang An quickly snapped back to reality, somewhat anxiously asking.
Director Tang nodded, then took out his cellphone and dialed Xu Ming's number.
