This usually indifferent male had a smile on his lips, and a gentle light in his eyes, like the hint of spring on a branch after the winter snow melts.
He stopped at the bottom of the steps, looked at her gracefully in the firelight, pursed his thin lips, and said, "I've come to take you home."
Hearing his deep voice snapped Wen Shu back to reality, and she couldn't help but feel puzzled.

She couldn't help but speculate on what might have happened between Mious and Xue Fu.
