"Lily Shaw! You—" Crystal Shaw's mother was born from the bottom rung of society. Other than seducing men, she didn't have much ability or insight, and she certainly didn't have what it took to teach Crystal how to be a proper noble lady.
"Shut up! Crystal Shaw, you'd better remember what I've said. Otherwise, I'll make sure your death is a living hell!" Lily Shaw didn't want to waste any more time talking nonsense with Crystal. She had absolutely no interest in speaking to someone who didn't even have the bare minimum sense of shame, and she felt lowering herself to do so was beneath her.
Lily Shaw didn't say all these things and give Crystal Shaw such a warning out of some overflowing compassion or a desire to save lost women.
No, it's because Crystal couldn't die yet—at least not at her own hands.
Lily Shaw had promised her mother Wendy Lowell many years ago that she'd never lay a hand on Crystal Shaw for the rest of her life.
