Lily Shaw harbored not the slightest trust toward Crystal Shaw. She didn't believe that Crystal could keep a clear mind after being administered such a potent drug, let alone know where Simon Sawyer had hidden the antidote.
She stopped trying to find the antidote and staggered toward the door. Her weak hands pulled on the door with all her might, only to discover that this seemingly ordinary motel required Simon's fingerprint to unlock the room door!
Just how long had Simon been planning for this day? No wonder he was so calm and so sure that she couldn't escape.
No wonder Aiden Grant's comedic bodyguards had failed to rescue her after so long. She thought of an almost insane possibility, which made her scalp tingle.
Could it be that Simon had made this ordinary room into an impenetrable fortress? Otherwise, with the Grant Family's bodyguards' skills, it was impossible that they hadn't rushed in by now.
