Justin Shaw wasn't hearing his daughter's harsh tone asking him to leave the cemetery for the first time. He forced an awkward smile, trying to say something to ease her anger, but he didn't know where to begin.
"Okay... I'll go now." Justin Shaw saw the cold and loathing gaze of his daughter, and he quickly admitted defeat, lowering his head dejectedly as he walked toward the cemetery exit.
After walking a distance away, Justin Shaw turned his head back frequently to look at his daughter leaning against Aiden Grant. His daughter hated him so much that she didn't even want to look at him.
He tried to suppress the emotional turmoil within, but his chest was filled with bitterness and sorrow. His daughter's icy disdain was like a sharp knife, piercing his heart deeply, and his eyes became hot, tears ready to fall.
He blinked forcefully, unwilling to shed tears in front of Lily Shaw, still wanting to preserve some fatherly dignity.
