In the Cemetery
Lily Shaw and Jude last entered the cemetery under the cover of night. They first visited the Tomb Guardian to thank him for his hard work, and then went to pay respects to Wendy Lowell.
This time was the same, except Lily Shaw's face now bore a happy smile. Her delicate white hand held Aiden Grant's broad hand as they walked to the door of the Tomb Guardian's small house, gently knocking on the door. An aged male voice came through: "Who's there? Coming."
"Grandpa Yang, I came with my husband to visit my mother. This is a special gift we prepared for you, hope you like it." Lily Shaw's eyes curved into a bright smile, a stark contrast from when she had come days earlier.
"Ah, it's you, Lily girl." The Tomb Guardian's kind eyes glanced at Lily Shaw, then openly sized up the hand Aiden Grant was holding, turned to look seriously into Lily's eyes, and said in a hoarse voice: "Lily girl, you have good judgment; you've chosen a fine husband."
