Lily Shaw followed those predatory gazes, and a hint of displeasure flickered in her eyes. Her husband was being watched like a wolf stalking its prey by all these women—so many scorching, covetous looks made her feel distinctly uncomfortable.

Lily Shaw had exceptional hearing; she saw clearly those women in their skimpy outfits. That sense of having her possession eyed by others was truly aggravating.
