Before Lily Shaw could answer, he added, "Honey, seeing a dark home when I came back was so disappointing."
Before he even stepped through the door to find the house dark, a few traces of disappointment had already arisen in his heart. After putting down his luggage, he groped his way upstairs in the dark.
He didn't know whether Lily Shaw was in the room or somewhere else.
But he didn't want to go anywhere else, just wanted to wait in the room filled with her scent for her to come back.
