Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Don't Shame Our Ancestors!

"Put down your weapons." Such a voice sounded in their ears. Even without understanding the language at all, they subconsciously followed the command.

The warehouse instantly fell silent.

It was as if the bursts of gunfire and screams just now were all just illusions.

"Truly amazing." Shen Yu also walked out from the Gray Mist, surveying these people before him.

Judging from their attire, they were indeed violent thugs.

Their weapons were decent too—everyone carried rifles.

Under normal circumstances, without several times the armed strength, it would be hard to take them down easily without sacrifice.

But at this moment, all of them stood there with vacant expressions, like the walking dead. Even when Shen Yu waved his hand in front of their eyes, they showed no reaction whatsoever.

"Right now, they can only follow simple commands. If you want them to obey promptly and strictly, they'll need some time to be trained." Martial Artist Shen Yu walked over and smiled. "But the Primordial Spirit Seed has already been planted. I set up some short phrases for control; you can assign someone to train them slowly. However, no matter how you train them, they'll always be stiffer than normal people and unable to handle complicated orders."

"Sounds like hypnosis?" Shen Yu mused thoughtfully.

"Pretty much. The principle is to invade with a stronger spiritual power. Some powerful Martial Artists can even use Spiritual Power to affect reality, forming something like a 'Domain.' In my world, that's the mark of a truly strong one." Martial Artist Shen Yu explained a bit more. Then, as if thinking of something else, he became quite excited, "I just tried it. All martial arts abilities work! Moreover, the Primordial Energy in the air here on the Mother Star is indeed scarce, but living beings—including plants—do still contain a considerable amount!"

What did this mean?

It meant that here, Martial Arts weren't just useful but had great potential for development!

"I've checked on my end too. All equipment can function normally." Interstellar world Shen Yu also walked over, a note of cheer in his voice.

"Good!" Shen Yu was visibly energized, too.

This was clearly the best possible outcome!

Technology and Martial Arts both functioned normally. This meant the foundations of both worlds could unleash their greatest effectiveness here.

Many plans had already begun to form in Shen Yu's mind.

Yet thorough planning was still necessary.

For now, he didn't idle. After sweeping up everything in the warehouse, he ordered the thugs to stand guard there and then contacted the local security chief of Shen Group's security company in this country to come quickly.

Then he set off for other warehouses to collect all remaining stored goods.

After he finished all that, Shen Yu and the two other Shens spent some time in the Gray Mist Space for a more detailed conversation.

The main purpose was to deepen their understanding of one another and each other's worlds.

It came as no surprise that both worlds had their own languages, so just now, they'd communicated using languages remembered from their previous lives.

In addition, their worlds were also in dire straits, though not yet in total ruin.

Just a foreseeable sense of despair.

Everything still had a chance.

"That's all for now. Let's each get ready." Shen Yu said finally. "There are still many things to test, such as if there's any time difference, or exactly how the connection between us works and what effects there might be. Also, we each need to plan our own world layouts as well as we can. Anyway, let's meet again after we've each had twenty-four hours in our own world."

"Okay." The other two were both excited yet felt their minds bustling with ideas. They definitely needed to sort things out.

But that was only natural.

They all knew very well that this meeting would bring them and their worlds new opportunities.

After simply exchanging "gifts," they each vanished from the Gray Mist Space.

Shen Yu looked at the coordinates they left behind, took a deep breath, and returned to the villa.

In the empty Doomsday Fortress, Ji Mingshu was still there.

Although Shen Yu was gone much longer than expected, Ji Mingshu wasn't too worried—her faith in her boss was strong.

And in that moment, upon seeing Shen Yu, she immediately sensed that her boss was in an exceptionally good mood.

Not average good spirits, either.

It was as if half a year's anxiety, worry, and decline had all been swept away; his eyes were filled with joy and confidence.

"Did something happen, boss?" Ji Mingshu asked curiously.

Normally, subordinates shouldn't ask too much. But Ji Mingshu was different; she was practically Shen Group's number two person and Shen Yu's most trusted aide.

So Shen Yu smiled and replied, "It is indeed good news—the kind that's hard to imagine."

Shen Yu noticed the laptop she was holding against her side and knew she had a report. He quickly composed himself.

"Let's get to business first."

Clearly, the matter of the external incarnations couldn't be fully disclosed. This wasn't about trust but about risk management.

Yet it couldn't be kept entirely secret—many plans required Ji Mingshu's involvement.

Shen Yu pondered how best to phrase it.

At that moment, Ji Mingshu didn't ask further. She handed the laptop to Shen Yu and began her report:

"At the twenty-third minute after your departure, the national leadership held a press conference. There were four main points."

"First, acknowledge that the Meteorites pose an unimaginable danger and publicly release partial information on the previous two Meteorite incidents."

"Second, announce that the nation has entered a state of emergency and implement a range of emergency measures, including military control."

"Third, recall retired soldiers on the largest scale ever, and begin mass recruiting among civilians—though not compulsory, still strictly screened."

"Fourth, establish a 'Meteorite Crisis Management Department,' with coordination of all levels of resources and authority over crisis response, etc."

"..."

With Ji Mingshu's explanations and her edited highlights, Shen Yu quickly understood what had happened in the past few hours.

It was clear that the national level response was extremely swift and likely prepared in advance.

This was not just a last-minute scramble after the third Meteorite incident suddenly occurred.

The whole series of measures basically focused on two points.

——Maintaining order and responding to the crisis.

"Based on initial reactions online, the public, while experiencing some fear and anxiety, is overall quite stable and positive toward the government's measures," Ji Mingshu concluded, showing Shen Yu a few representative netizen comments she'd selected.

The first comment appeared frequently across major platforms and garnered an astonishing number of likes.

"Fellow compatriots, the trial upon our land has come again. Let's not shame our ancestors!"
