Shi Lemeng was the first to grab a roasted sweet potato, instinctively glancing at Lin Yun. Seeing that his gaze didn't linger on her, she forcefully split the sweet potato in half and took a big bite.
"Hot, hot, hot..."
Shi Lemeng didn't expect the inside of the sweet potato to be so hot, it scorched her tongue, leaving her unable to speak properly.
Lin Yun heard her and went to the kitchen water tank to ladle a bowl of cold water for Shi Lemeng, "Put your tongue in the cold water for a while, it'll stop burning soon."
"Oh." Shi Lemeng took the bowl, turned her back to Lin Yun, and put her tongue into the cold water.
Not sure if it was her imagination, but her tongue instantly stopped hurting when she put it in.
Thinking back to her embarrassing situation earlier, Shi Lemeng blushed bright red.
She handed the bowl to Lin Yun, "Thank you. I don't often eat roasted sweet potatoes, so I didn't know they'd be this hot."
