After Simon Sterling finished speaking, Serena Sullivan responded, a single light word that barely revealed her true emotions.
But after speaking, she reached out to grip the cup in front of her, her knuckles tightening forcefully.

Simon smiled, lifted his hand to put a piece of fish into his bowl, then meticulously picked out the bones before placing the clean fish meat into Serena Sullivan's side.

"She left Alder, and the old man was furious with me, demanding that I bring Wyatt Sterling back!"
Similarly, Simon's words were light, giving no clue to what his mood might be!
"I went the day she gave birth!"
Simon smiled again as he said.
