"There's one more thing..." Claire Sullivan hesitated as she looked at Joel Quinn, "I can't transfer the shares in my hand to you."
"What!" Joel Quinn's expression changed, his voice echoed.
"Joel." Claire Sullivan softened her tone, "You've worked so hard for The Sullivan Corporation all these years, I've seen it."
"It's not that Dad is stubborn, I've long wanted to give you the shares."
"Now, with the shareholder meeting convening and The Sullivan Corporation reshuffling, if I give them to you, I'm afraid people will say you're taking over The Sullivan Corporation's assets, and the other shareholders won't side with us."
Joel Quinn listened, understanding her reasoning, as the shareholders at The Sullivan Corporation were never quite satisfied with him parachuting into the management.
