Claire Sullivan did not respond. She turned her head, looking very seriously at the TV screen. When she saw Zoe Quinn, who was lying on the ground, tortured to the extreme by the drugs, cursing Serena Sullivan, her body tensed, and the coldness in her eyes grew stronger.
"It's not like that!"
Seeing that Claire Sullivan was ignoring her, Zoe Quinn spoke loudly to the still dazed Ruth Hale, "Quick, find the remote control."
Ruth Hale, snapped out of it, searched the room and quickly found the remote control on the sofa.
The TV went black, along with the screen and content, and both Ruth Hale and Zoe Quinn breathed a sigh of relief.
"Mom!"
Zoe Quinn reached out to grab Claire Sullivan's hand, "It's not what you saw."
"I was drugged, that's why I said those things."
The more Zoe Quinn spoke, the more aggrieved and sad she became. Her tears blurred her pale face, making Ruth Hale exclaim angrily, "Claire Sullivan, are you blind?"
