"When I left the office last night, I saw your necklace was still on the table. Hmm, how could it be missing?" Serena Sullivan pondered the question seriously, then her eyes lit up as if she had thought of something.
"I've got it."
She smiled at Zoe Quinn and said earnestly, "It must have been taken by the first person who came in this morning."
"When I arrived, you all were already here."
Upon hearing this, the sarcasm in Zoe Quinn's eyes grew more intense. She had expected a better explanation but was disappointed by such a lame excuse.
"It wasn't me!"
Before Zoe Quinn and the others could speak, Designer Cheney blurted out anxiously.
All three people in the office looked at Designer Cheney, whose face was flushed as she defended herself again, "When I came, there was no necklace on Miss Quinn's desk."
"I didn't take it."
