Chapter 60 - [BONUS] Copying Puppet Manipulation Technique

Kenjaku is able to forcibly seize others' bodies, inherit their Cursed Technique and memories, and achieve soul transfer, granting him eternal life.

Now that Kenjaku is parasitic within Akasuna's body, he has, in turn, inherited Akasuna's puppet manipulation technique.

Haruki stroked his chin and commanded Kenjaku, "Demonstrate Akasuna's puppet manipulation technique."

He was about to begin copying. His Copy range was within three meters, so Haruki moved closer to Kenjaku.

Kenjaku raised an eyebrow. "As you command, master."

He raised his hands, and several Chakra threads shot out from his fingertips, connecting to the puppets lying on the ground. The puppets immediately seemed to regain life, standing up from the ground once more.

Kenjaku skillfully manipulated the puppets to demonstrate various attack methods in the air.

The Cursed Energy within Haruki surged, his gaze intently fixed on Kenjaku's every move as he controlled the puppets.

"Alright."

As Haruki's voice fell, the Chakra threads from Kenjaku's fingertips broke. The puppets fell back to the ground.

Kenjaku took out a scroll from his waist. He sealed the puppets within the scroll.

After completing the seal, he put the scroll back into his ninja tool pouch and looked at Haruki with a beaming smile.

"I know what you desire, master, and I will help you." Kenjaku looked at Haruki meaningfully.

Haruki asked, "Then tell me, what do I desire?"

Kenjaku smiled, "I will find powerful incarnated bodies, and after mastering their abilities, I will allow you to copy them."

It was just an ordinary expression, but when it appeared on Kenjaku's face, it inexplicably exuded an evil aura.

Haruki stared at Kenjaku and asked the system in his mind, 'Cursed Spirit can't break free from my control, right?'

Kenjaku gave Haruki an uncontrollable feeling.

[Host, when you die, the Cursed Spirit die. As their mother, they cannot escape your control.]

"This body's identity is good. I will convey all the information you wish to know, master." Kenjaku said with a smile.

Haruki: "..."

He waved his hand wearily at Kenjaku.

Go! Go!

Haruki could no longer waste time on Kenjaku, otherwise Suzaku and the others would truly succumb to the poison.

Kenjaku bowed gracefully to Haruki, and his figure quickly disappeared into the forest. A crow caught up with Kenjaku, flying above his head.

Kenjaku looked up, and the curve of his lips deepened.

Haruki walked towards Suzaku and the others. Looking at Suzaku and the other two's purple lips, he squatted down and placed his fingers under their nostrils.

There was still some breath, but not much.

Haruki rolled up his sleeves and began the rescue work.

...

Suzaku walked in a pitch-black darkness where he couldn't see his own hand.

He turned his head in confusion, seeing nothing, and could only continue walking forward aimlessly.

Why was he here?

Was he already dead?

Suddenly, a white ball of light appeared in the distance. Suzaku realized that this thing might be the reason he was here.

He quickly walked forward. Suzaku's steps slowed, and he looked at the figure in front of him in disbelief.

"Muku..."

The young man, radiating a faint white light, was his younger brother, Muku, who had died in the war.

Almost instantly, Suzaku's eyes welled up with tears. He quickly wiped away his tears, afraid of missing the reunion with his brother.

"Are you here to pick me up?" Suzaku approached his brother, choked with emotion.

Muku laughed heartily and playfully made a funny face at Suzaku. "I'm not here to pick you up. I'm here to remind you not to wander around."

"What?" Suzaku looked at him blankly.

Muku scratched the back of his head, the mischief in his eyes replaced by a faint smile, and his voice softened as he awkwardly twisted his body. "Brother, don't come looking for me. I don't want to see you on the other side at all. It's not your time yet..."

Suzaku saw his hand glowing, and his body became increasingly transparent.

"Muku!"

His brother suddenly became very distant.

"Brother!"

"You should go back!"

Muku's shout echoed in Suzaku's ears.

Suzaku suddenly opened his eyes. Blinding white light shone directly into his eyes. Even though they were sore and stinging, making him want to cry, Suzaku did not close them.

The sound of his heart beating became clear in his ears. Suzaku knew that he was alive again.

He turned his head slightly, and a familiar figure appeared in his line of sight.

It was Haruki.

He had been saved by Haruki again.

Hearing the system's prompt, Haruki knew that Suzaku had woken up.

Now he just had to wait for Sakikawa and Kurogaya to wake up and harvest their emotional values.

Haruki put on an excited expression and ran towards Suzaku. He helped Suzaku up and leaned him against the tree trunk.

"Brother Suzaku, you're finally awake." Haruki looked at Suzaku in surprise.

Haruki: "..."

No, brother, what are you angry about now?

"Haruki!"

Suzaku stared at Haruki, his face grim, his tone severe. "How did you end up here?"

Haruki froze, then slowly lowered his head, looking guilty.

"Do you know how dangerous it is here? Do you know you could have died? If you died, what would the ninjas in the village do? What would Hanzo-sama do? How could you do something so impulsive?!..."

Suzaku's brows were tightly furrowed, his nostrils flared, and intense emotions surged in his chest.

Everyone's here!

Time for the show!

Suzaku's words suddenly stopped. All his reprimands were caught in his throat.

Tears kept falling from the cheeks of the child who was hanging his head in front of him. Haruki was crying.

Suzaku's heart felt as if it had been heavily twisted. A strong sourness welled up in his eyes.

"I know it's dangerous, so I didn't want you, brother, to face it alone."

"I know I might die, but I'm more afraid of not being able to save you than dying."

"I just want everyone to live. I don't want to lose anyone."

[Ding!]
