Chapter 9 - 9. First for Everything Part 2

He was in such a horrid mood that evening. Having to lose a close ally, putting an end to an idiot, and dealing with the riff raff of subordinate groups who could not hold a candle to his organization, he was far from in the mood to be in his club.

But when he saw her, that all changed.

He leaned over the railing to the executive area of his club and stared down at the crowd enjoying themselves. At first, he was staring blindly at the dance floor. He only needed a moment to clear his head before leaving for the evening. But the sensual movements of maroon caught his eye. And he caught hers as well.

He stared at her in the violet jeweled irises of her eyes. The way she moved seemed like it was a show made only for him.

In a trance, he watched the dancing woman. His mouth watered as his eyes roamed over her delicious curves that never enticed him on any other woman. But on her, they were so delectable his chest rumbled in a groan of need.

He wanted to taste her, if only once.

In the beginning, he thought it was only the need to release some tension that drew him to her. It often happens that way. He got worked up from work, he attended a meeting in one of his territories, spots a woman to take home, and relieve his apprehension. Next day, he continues the routine.

But when she left the dance floor, he knew something was off when an agitation built at no longer having her attention. He knew then she was not just a means to an end for him.

He finished his drink and concluded the business he had scheduled. Something about another clan wanting to negotiate terms of regions. He immediately denied and left it at that before searching for the violet eyed woman acting as the conductor of his train of thought.

When he found her dancing with another man, he thought to leave it at that. He would not interrupt her evening. Then he remembered who he was and decided to implement himself in her evening. As he drew closer, he noticed that she no longer was interested in the man she was dancing with.

The imbecile she was entertaining had cared to comment on her size, which pissed her off.

"You are a disgusting pig."

"C'mon! What did I say?"

The interaction became heated causing him to storm in the direction at a hasten pace.

"Whatever! I do not need this. I can get any bitch in here. Hell! I wanted a red head anyway. She is hotter!"

She raised her hand and slapped him across the face, causing his head to snap to the side so hard. Once she did it, her face gave away her regret. I saw her lips twitch in efforts to apologize but he reacted first.

Rotating around the crowd, he made sure to walk up behind the female of the arguing duo.

The man touched his lip, noticing it was bleeding. "You, fucking, bitch," he growled, starting towards her. She took a few steps back and bumped into D's chest.

The man came towards her with his hand raised. He thought to return the favor.

"You weren't thinking of hitting this woman, were you?"

The woman stiffened against his chest and the man looked to him.

"She busted my lip!"

"And you insulted her, embarrassing her in front of many strangers. I would say you are even."

Once the man reluctantly left it at that D and the mysterious woman went back to her reserved booth. They spent the remainder of their time at the club flirting. D was beginning to understand why he was so attracted to her.

She was forward but also proceeded cautiously. She didn't appear to be afraid of him. She also didn't try to latch onto him as she discovered that he owned the establishment they were occupying. She wasn't obnoxious and self-oriented like the women he was accustomed to. She asked about him in ways that didn't involve his money. She asked about his well-being despite her own being threatened. And the way she came onto him... it was refreshing. It was subtle and not overbearing.

She was also good at holding her liquor. It was obvious that she was intoxicated. She laughed a little too hard at certain jokes and her movements seemed to be a bit slower than they should have been. Other than that, she was competent and stable.

He on the other hand, had only one drink.

Despite being in his right mind and knowing that she was drunk, he acted selfishly. But it went not without hesitation and guilt. He did try to deviate from her forwardness, but her offers were so inviting to an already willing man. There was an attraction between the two that did not aid in being a gentleman. He knew from the moment he saw her that he wanted her. When she pressed herself so deliciously into his side and looked at him with such desire and hunger in her eyes, he could help not but to kiss her.

The sweet and sour taste on her lips from the fruity drink she had drove him crazy. He knew from there that all the towels were in. And when she asked to leave with him, it was a guarantee that he was going to make her his.

He took her back to a hotel, as he often did with his conquests. But it was different this time. The hotel he went to was one of his favorites that he owned where he made sure to ask for the highest end suite for multiple evenings. He planned to keep her in his bed for at least a week.

Once in the room, they left no time for thinking. He had her pressed against the wall and lips attached to hers. Clothing was practically ripped off and discarded everywhere.

The woman – he earlier learned held the name of Lia – blew his mind. He preferred things on a... rougher side. Because of that, there were times he was afraid he might hurt her, but Lia... she would ask for more.

She'd asked for harder. There was no limit to her. When he'd grab at her, she'd grab back. And the promises of biting did not go forgotten. She took him to such a higher level and continued to elevate.

The way she kissed him was like a hunger he never encountered. It was as if she wanted him instead of from him. But it was also gentle. It was sensual. And when he finally had her, he could not get enough of her. He lost count of how many times he took her. He lost track of the surfaces he took her on.

Usually, it was a one and done with him. Just enough to get his rocks off. But there wasn't an end to how much he wanted her. The more he got her the more he desired. It was as if each time opened a door to something else that he had to obtain. And she was so open to him. The way their bodies melded together was exquisite! He loved the way she'd shiver under his touch and tongue. The way she'd dig her nails into his shoulder blades, drove him to near insanity. He'd groaned at the feeling when she'd quiver around him. God only knew if fatigue had not taken its toll, he would have made love to her until dawn and then some more. This had only proved one thing. He had to make her his. He wanted to make her his. He planned to once he woke this morning to take her all over again and keep her –

But she left.

Last night was amazing. Thank you for the great time. - Lia

When he woke, it was to an empty bed. He looked around the room, thinking she had gotten up to get dressed or go to the bathroom, but no, she had run off and left a note. And that was all she wrote. No number. No see you later. No address or any way of contacting her. Not even a goodbye! Just... thank you.

He ripped the note off the pad and tossed the little booklet. He folded the piece of paper and placed it on the desk supplied by the hotel.

He stared down at the note on the notepad with a frown. She... left him?

All he could do was retrace the events that played out the previous night – better yet – earlier that morning.

He couldn't believe it for a second. For once, a woman got up before him and left without a trace. It was the first. Usually, they'd stay in bed in hopes that he'd keep them around. They'd beg and plead with him to make them his new woman so that they could have the perks of a man with status. But not her. She just up and left. She knew he had some kind of success. He admitted to owning the very club they were in. But she didn't care. She still left. He wasn't sure he liked it. Especially, when it was one that he did not want to leave.

But she left.

He could not believe it. She was.... gone.
