Once he was calm enough to go on, Dirin opened his eyes and noticed that Mr. Till had made his way behind him. "This isn't a hard thing to do, but since you have so much that you've done, it will probably need to be done carefully and slowly. Even Keith and Tillie needed to take their time. With you doing much more than them, you'll definitely face some backlash if you are too hasty."
He nodded in response to this as he started to shake his arms to get himself more relaxed. After cracking his neck a couple of times, he nodded for him to continue. "Try to drown out any sensation you feel. Even the feel of your clothes if you need to. If you can still feel a breeze, then you aren't doing it enough. Once you do, make sure to reflect on everything you've learned and all the training you've done. As you reflect, if everything was done well, you should feel a rising feeling. Chase that feeling and see it through."
Dirin nodded and started to reflect on everything. Every late night he spent studying by the candle while silently fearing it was going to flare up again. Every note he studied that he got from Tillie, Keith, Ritchard, and Markus. All of the hours he spent trying to beat Mr. Till at his own game. The couple of classes he attended. He thought of all of them as he tried to find any feeling.
The wind wasn't something he could feel anymore, even as it rustled his clothes a bit. It was just like all of those nights where the candle put him under its effects. He wasn't even halfway through all of his knowledge that he had gathered before he felt a weight slowly appear in his gut. It was uncomfortable to feel and almost caused him to stop, but he persevered and kept reflecting on everything.
With the weight getting heavier and heavier, he felt more and more concentrated on his thoughts as if it was holding him in place. Then it started to lighten up, and his blood started to circulate faster. His heart started to beat faster, and some of his muscles started to twitch. His breathing started to get quicker.
It started to feel amazing. He felt lighter than he did as it started. Even as his muscles started to become tenser and his breathing started to become quick and short. His eyelids were starting to twitch uncontrollably at this point, and he started to sweat to the point where his deodorant became very apparent.
He started to get to the last quarter of his experiences, and the weight was practically in his chest now and was making him feel lighter than he ever did. The weight made it to his throat and started to slow down. This didn't worry him as he kept his mind centered on his knowledge, and it almost got blocked. The feeling started to leave him, and he started to chase.
Then he felt himself becoming increasingly aware of everything as the feeling started to drop. His body stopped reacting as much as it did before, with the movements became less. He opened his eyes and found himself feeling lightheaded and weak.
Mr. Till looked at him with narrowed eyes, and Ritchard cocked his head to the side. "What happened?" Dirin couldn't tell who said what as the voice entered his head and sounded very distorted. He was greatly nauseated.
He tried to open his mouth, but he felt a heavy hand on his chest, and it almost made him stop breathing, but he endured a bit. "Stopped... at neck..."
This caused Mr. Till's already narrowed eyes to narrow even more. He looked Dirin up and down as he started to mutter things that sounded unintelligible. He felt a liquid enter his mouth and he didn't turn it down at all and drank it furiously.
His senses slowly came back to him. His legs felt heavy, and his arms were dangling at his side. He blinked a couple of times and refrained from shaking his already aching head. Mr. Till was on his phone and talking to someone a little way away and glanced at him from time to time.
Ritchard put a cup down as he looked over him. "What happened? It seemed like you were doing well. Even Mr. Till was surprised and said that you were probably going to succeed on your first try. Well, either that or you were going to faint. I had to dial the school nursery to be on standby for you."
"It... give me some more water." After taking a long drink of warm water, he attempted to wipe his mouth but gave up. "It was going well until it just... stopped. It wouldn't progress any further and started to fall back down. It literally was edg-"
"You are missing something is the reason." Without a sound, the headmaster appeared behind them.
They both whirled around and saw him getting closer. He had an inquisitive look as he started to examine Dirin. He checked his pulse and his pupils before slowly shaking his head. "Congratulations, kid. Without a doubt, you trained in everything." He took a brief pause and waved for Mr. Till to come closer. "The only bad thing is that you now need Anima to break into Rank 1."
"Why?" Dirin was very confused now. He was specifically taught that he wouldn't need to worry about that until he was going to Rank 3. "Why would I need something like that this early? How would I even get something like that this early?"
"Calm down. It isn't a huge mystery to figure out, and it's not a huge problem to solve either." The headmaster's words calmed Dirin down a bit, but he was still curious. "Now we can chalk Anima to be something that helps with the formation of traits and abilities. Something that was theorized for a bit, but now you've proved it. As to how to solve the problem, it is as simple as me just pulling a few strings to get you a trial, along with how to answer it. Since you are our project, it shouldn't cost anything. You will have to wait until it gets approved, though.
Dirin felt more at ease after hearing that. He nodded slowly as he heard that. "So, what do I do about classes then?"
"You'll be exempted from them for a bit. We won't allow you to take higher classes since we've already determined that they would just hinder you stepping into Rank 1. So, relax and take a break. Don't forget to train and study a bit, though. Just enough to keep up your knowledge. I'll now be going to sign you up for a trial."
The headmaster and Mr. Till started to walk away as Dirin just watched with a solemn expression. He lightly kicked the sand underneath him before heading back to his own dorm to watch shows late again tonight.
