Chapter 124 - Chapter 126: Corpse Impact

32, under the high concentration of mist, was beginning to lose control again.

In 32's moment of crisis, Ahsoka promptly extended her hand and pushed all the Dragon Slugs around him away, giving him a moment to recover. But this couldn't completely save him.

32 was already nearly unconscious. If this dragged on, he would be instantly devoured by the covetously waiting bugs.

Amir refocused his sights on the giant Dragon Slug in front of him. He had originally just wanted to kill a path and leave, but after seeing the Massassi crystal on the slug's tail, he changed his mind. We're already here, and the crystals are almost enough. I'll lose sleep if I don't see what's sealed here.

But if he went all out on the attack, the three behind him would definitely not be able to hold. Right now, they were almost entirely reliant on Ahsoka. If not for the light in the air agitating these bugs, they would have already been overrun.

Ahsoka pulled 32 and Milisen, following the path Amir had cleared, moving toward his side.

Amir sensed his own Force. He had always used the Force at a moderate strength. Even though his Force had grown much stronger, Amir only used it to assist his lightsaber techniques or to slightly increase the power of his Force abilities.

But now, he knew he could do more.

The Dragon Slugs continuously closed in, lunging at Ahsoka. Ahsoka, carrying the several-hundred-pound iron-block 32 with one hand, was already near her limit. If not for the Force assisting her, she would have been buried in the slug pile with 32 long ago.

"Amir!" Ahsoka knew she couldn't hold on. Suddenly, a Dragon Slug lunged at Milisen. Ahsoka quickly let go of 32 and used her off-hand lightsaber to block. But she didn't get a firm grip; although the lightsaber cut the slug, its severed body slammed into her wrist, knocking the lightsaber to the ground.

Milisen now showed a fierce expression. Baring her small fangs, she frantically fired the blaster. The red bolts knocked back many of the charging Dragon Slugs. She actually had a decent talent for marksmanship.

The blaster pistol gradually overloaded. Milisen threw the gun directly at an approaching slug's face, ducked down, and picked up Ahsoka's fallen off-hand lightsaber. The white blade ignited instantly.

Illuminated by the white light, Milisen revealed an excited smile.

"Heehee..."

Just then, a Dragon Slug bypassed Ahsoka's front and charged from the side. Milisen, assuming a Form I stance she had seen before, raised her hand and slashed down diagonally from right to left. The Dragon Slug, two or three times her size, was sliced in half.

Seeing this, Ahsoka didn't stop her. She was carrying 32 and only had one hand to attack. Her off-hand saber was perfect for Milisen to use.

The fierce little Twi'lek girl actually managed to hold back a part of the assault.

In just a moment of distraction, three more Dragon Slugs, clinging to the ceiling, dropped straight down toward Ahsoka.

Caught unprepared, Ahsoka violently thrust her lightsaber hand upward. The Force formed a strong repulsive push, halting all three Dragon Slugs in mid-air.

"Ahsoka!" Milisen saw Ahsoka being ambushed, jumped in front of her, raised the lightsaber, and bared her teeth, intimidating the Dragon Slugs in front of her.

The moment Ahsoka raised her hand to deal with the ones above, all the surrounding Dragon Slugs rushed at the three of them like mad.

Even as brave as Milisen was, she felt helpless facing this scene. She closed her eyes tightly in fear, swinging the lightsaber wildly, like scribbling in the air.

The expected impact never came. Milisen relaxed her brow and peeked her eyes open. She found that all the surrounding Dragon Slugs were floating, twisting in panic in mid-air.

"Amir..." Milisen turned to look at Amir. The robed boy had raised both his hands, as if lifting an invisible, heavy weight.

Ahsoka also looked back in shock, forgetting the three bugs floating above her head. But the three bugs didn't fall; they just continued to float as before.

Amir felt a slight strain, just like on the cruiser when he expanded his perception to the entire ship. He had been tired then, too.

Moving a living being was inherently more strenuous than moving a rock. Life had weight, and that wasn't just a simple saying here.

A creature carrying the life Force would produce an involuntary, spontaneous repulsion when Amir tried to control it with the Force. Lifeless objects didn't have these obstacles.

Amir was confident he could easily lift hundreds of droids, but dealing with dozens of Dragon Slugs was a bit strenuous.

But only strenuous.

"How about a 'Corpse Impact'!" Amir looked at the giant Dragon Slug in front, tilted his palms slightly forward. All the smaller slugs floating in the room began to fly toward their leader.

Hundreds of pounds of weight, under Amir's operation, turned into cannonballs, making intimate contact with the large Dragon Slug.

"Thud! Thud...!!!"

Continuous muffled sounds echoed in the enclosed room. Milisen covered her eyes, unable to watch, but still peeked through her fingers. Her small fangs once again betrayed her excitement.

Ahsoka set 32 down properly, walked up, and stood by Amir's side, ready for action.

Finally, as if after a bombardment, the group of Dragon Slugs was huddled in a corner of the room. Dizzy from the fall, they writhed on the ground, completely disoriented.

The worst off was their leader. It had been smashed dozens of times by hundred-pound flesh-balls, and was crushed at the very bottom. Even with its amazing elasticity, it was now covered in pain.

It struggled to push all its underlings off its head and finally poked its fat head out. Just as it was aboutA to take revenge, a lightsaber streaked in a beautiful arc.

That was the last sight projected in its blurry vision.

Amir used the Force to pull the headless large Dragon Slug out and let out a long breath.

The surrounding Dragon Slugs seemed to snap out of their frenzied state. For a moment, they seemed terrified. They all forgot their pain and fled desperately, scrambling out of the room's various exits in a panic.

Ahsoka also let out a long breath. Milisen walked over from the side and hacked twice at the giant, still-twitching Dragon Slug body.

"Stupid bug! Bad bug! Hehe!"

"It's already dead," Amir said, patting Milisen's head.

"Okay... But I killed a big bug just now! I'm amazing, right!!" Milisen showed off, swinging the lightsaber in her hand.

"Amazing." Amir hadn't seen it, but he said it sincerely. Milisen had indeed been a great help.

"Hehe."

"Thank you, Milisen. You were a great help just now." Ahsoka smiled, crouched down in front of Milisen, and praised her.

"It's okay, it's okay." Milisen, instead, became a little embarrassed.
