Chapter 284: Preparing to Head to Emperor Pass
After confirming the function of Heavenly Dao power, everyone in the group intended to accumulate some of it. In a while, they would still need to go to the Swallowed Star World to comprehend the Primal Universe. With the assistance of Heavenly Dao power, comprehending the Laws would be much more convenient.
However, the group did not participate in team dungeons; instead, each person entered dungeons individually.
Shi Jian also entered a dungeon. It was a wasteland-type world he was unfamiliar with, and the mission was completed very easily. After a brief trial, he didn't continue using the function.
The others, however, entered dungeons quite frequently.
Take Fang Han, for instance. Heavenly Dao power could enhance and strengthen his Dao Artifacts. The Human Emperor Brush, which was initially quite arrogant, became completely addicted after Fang Han "added points" to it. It no longer wanted the 100,000,000 Medicinal Pills each month; it only wanted Heavenly Dao power, fawning over Fang Han every day.
Yan also found great use for it. With both the Human Emperor Brush and Yan clamoring for more, Fang Han was forced to enter dungeons daily.
Then there was Xiao Yan. This power could also improve the quality of his alchemy. Now, whenever he started a furnace, he liked to "add points" as well.
In short, Heavenly Dao power was a cure-all, capable of replacing almost all resources. When the group members were poor, they entered dungeons.
"Brother, this dungeon mission of mine was too outrageous… A Mahayana Stage powerhouse was framed by a Junior Sister, and in the end, her cultivation was crippled."
In Sin State, Shi Hao couldn't help but complain to Shi Jian. He had three major resource consumers: the Supreme Vine, the God-Striking Stone, and the Small Pagoda. Heavenly Dao power had an extremely strong effect on all of them, so Shi Hao was also quite diligent in running dungeons.
This time, however, the dungeon he encountered truly challenged his perception.
A Great Master at the Mahayana Stage was framed and provoked by a Junior Sister at the Qi Refinement Stage. Ultimately, she was forced to cripple her own cultivation to prove her innocence. It was utterly tragic. Her resentment was likely so deep that it gave birth to a mission in that world: to help the "Senior Sister" prove her innocence.
As soon as Shi Hao entered that world and felt the Senior Sister's incredible power, he was completely dumbfounded. The Mahayana Stage in that world's system was even more powerful than his own physical cultivation. With such strength, how could she be forced into such a corner by a mere Qi Refinement Stage junior? He found it difficult to understand her thought process.
When the mission started, he was even more dumbfounded.
The Qi Refinement Stage Junior Sister framed him for stealing her Foundation Establishment Stage Magic Treasure and brought the matter to the Enforcement Hall. As she stood there, crying pitifully, Shi Hao's heart was shaken like never before.
Me? A Mahayana Stage expert? Steal a Foundation Establishment Magic Treasure from a Qi Refining Realm cultivator like you?
Shi Hao almost laughed in anger. He didn't even think of defending himself. Such an outrageous claim—anyone with a bit of sense wouldn't believe it, right?
Then, reality taught him a harsh lesson.
Seeing that he didn't defend himself, all the disciples from the Enforcement Hall sided with the Junior Sister and started accusing him.
If someone like Lin Dong had encountered this, he would have likely unleashed a Great Desolate Imprisoning Heavenly Finger without a word. However, as is well known, Shi Hao is relatively reasonable. So, he began to explain, trying to reason that a Mahayana Stage expert had no need for such a low-level Magic Treasure.
When everyone heard him, they felt it made some sense. But then, the Junior Sister started crying again, saying the treasure was the only memento her mother left her.
After she shed a few tears, the group of idiots started accusing him again. Finally, the Sect Elder—a Soul Transformation Stage expert—even wanted to punish him, a Mahayana Stage cultivator.
From that moment on, Shi Hao understood. It wasn't just the Senior Sister whose thought process was flawed; everyone in this entire world had flawed thought processes.
I'm a Mahayana Stage expert, the strongest combat power in the sect, and you're trying to reason with me?
Thunder Emperor's Precious Art! With thunder, shatter the darkness!
Facing such a bizarre world, Shi Hao no longer cared about right or wrong. He just started killing. Didn't the mission's owner want innocence and to avoid suffering? Then kill. Kill until no one in the world dares to claim supremacy. Kill until people prostrate themselves upon hearing his name.
Who would dare make him feel wronged then?
It only took a few days for Shi Hao to clear the dungeon.
Hearing Shi Hao's story, Shi Jian couldn't help but laugh. "That's called a female-oriented world. If you encounter one again, there's no need to reason. Just start killing."
"Female-oriented world? Why is it so strange?" Shi Hao had never seen such a bizarre world in his life.
Suddenly remembering something, Shi Jian looked at Shi Hao strangely. "Speaking of which… didn't you turn into a female during the mission?"
Shi Hao's old face flushed. He had been so eager to complain that he had completely forgotten he completed the mission in a female body. "The physical body is just a skin," he began to defend himself, uttering obscure words that only made Shi Jian laugh harder.
A few more days passed. Suddenly, a purple-gold warship traversed the Void Realm and arrived in Sin State, its fierce aura scattering the clouds. On it stood several young people—three males and two females. Each possessed an extraordinary bearing and cultivation at the Heavenly God Realm. They had swept through hundreds of states, invincible.
"Is this Sin State? Are those two really as terrifying as they say?"
"Perhaps they used some trick. I don't believe there are such powerful cultivators in these Three Thousand States!"
"I want to see if they are truly qualified to join the Heavenly God Academy."
These people were from outside the domain, screening geniuses who had cultivated Immortal Qi. This was the first time any had come to Sin State.
While some from outside the domain had witnessed Shi Jian and Shi Hao's battle after they emerged from Immortal Ancient and were terrified, others didn't believe the stories. A Heavenly God slaying a Cult Master of the Self-Severing Sect? That was something no one in Emperor Pass could achieve.
Which one of them wasn't proud? They viewed the people of the Three Thousand Dao States as bumpkins. How could such a remote place produce a genius who could cross two great realms to slay an enemy? Who would believe that?
Therefore, they sought out Sin State.
"Where are Huang and Zun?" one of them let out a long roar, his voice spreading throughout the entire state.
Shi Jian and Shi Hao, who were cultivating, were startled. "Visitors from outside the domain?" Shi Hao appeared, his qi and blood abundant, staring at the warship. Shi Jian stepped out beside him.
"I heard that the two of you are supreme in your own right. If you can defeat me, you can join the Heavenly God Academy!" one of them, holding a black long spear, declared. He took a step forward, a faint illusion of a Divine Devil appearing behind him.
"Visitors from outside the domain… want to duel? Interesting!" Shi Hao became interested.
"Are you Huang or Zun? Let's have a decisive battle in the Void Realm battlefield," the man with the spear said.
Huang, naturally, referred to Shi Hao. Zun referred to Shi Jian. After the Immortal Ancient battle, people had started calling him "Zun," meaning Supreme.
"I am Huang," Shi Hao replied, but after gauging the man's strength, he felt somewhat bored. He shook his head. "You are too weak. There's no need for the Void Realm battlefield. I can suppress you with a casual move."
He then looked at the others. "Perhaps if all of you attack together, you might bring me some pressure."
Shi Hao was speaking the truth. During his time in the dungeons, his strength had undergone earth-shattering changes, and he had broken through to the Heavenly God Realm. His combat power had reached the Cult Master level. These few were truly not enough for him to bother with.
However, sometimes, speaking the truth was not pleasing.
"Arrogant!" The man with the spear was enraged. He thrust his spear, shattering the void, as one great sun after another rotated behind him—the manifestation of a most astonishing Precious Art.
Shi Hao faced the full-force strike by merely extending a hand. There were no flashy phenomena, but the great suns were crushed one by one, and the black long spear in the young man's hand was also shattered. In a blink of an eye, he was covered in blood.
He was defeated, and this was with Shi Hao holding back.
"I lost?" The man's face was ashen. He couldn't believe he had lost so quickly. The gap was this big? Could it be that these two truly possessed the combat power to contend with a Cult Master?
"I never thought the Three Thousand Dao States truly had such figures!" the people on the warship said in astonishment. They now understood that Shi Hao hadn't been arrogant; he had been speaking the truth.
The one who attacked was only Huang. The other, Zun, had not yet made a move. If Huang was already so powerful, what about Zun?
"The two of you are qualified to join the Heavenly God Academy. If even your strength cannot qualify you, then no one is worthy!" Their gazes towards the brothers now carried a hint of respect. Strength reigns supreme.
"Are the two of you willing to join the Heavenly God Academy and leave the Three Thousand Dao States?" they asked.
"What are the benefits?" Shi Hao asked directly.
"The Nine Heavens and Ten Lands are vast, with many secret manuals and countless experts. Joining will bring great benefits!"
Shi Hao was not interested. Secret manuals? Could they compare to those in the chat group? Experts? The Myriad Worlds Dungeon had countless worlds and experts. Having joined the chat group, he no longer valued the Heavenly God Academy.
Seeing this, the visitors changed their approach. "The Border Desolation is about to become chaotic. Whether you join the academy is not important. What's important is to head to the Border Desolation… and participate in the war!"
