Chapter 6 - Chapter 1 (part 6) Mysterious Night

A couple in Germany adopted me mom , They didn't let me come to you, but I tried so hard to find my way back." Vera Sokolova began to weep for her son, tears flowing freely down her cheeks.

Through her sobs, she whispered softly,

"My son… my lost child… I prayed every day for you to come back to me."

Ivan gently reached out and took his mother's trembling hands in his own.

"Now I'm here, Mom," he said softly, his blue eyes shining with quiet determination.

"We'll live together from now on. No more years apart." Vera smiled through her tears, clutching him tightly as if she never wanted to let go.

Daisy sat quietly in her room, listening to every word from behind the door.

After so many years… he's come back to his mother?

The thought felt strange and almost unreal.

Could this be true? Maybe, just maybe, miracles did happen. That night, Vera talked with her son for hours, her voice filled with both joy and longing.

But Daisy couldn't fall asleep.

Her mind kept drifting to Peter—his face, his smile, the memories they shared.

As thoughts swirled in Daisy's mind, sleep slowly crept into her eyes.

The night grew deeper, silent and cold, as snow continued to fall softly outside her window.

In that stillness, the world seemed to pause—

and Daisy, lost in dreams, drifted far away from the strange new life she was living.

Suddenly, Daisy's eyes snapped open.

A strange, heavy pressure pressed down on her chest—

not like a blanket or the weight of sleep,

but something… unnatural.

Her breath caught. The room was dark,

yet she could feel it—something was there. Daisy's heart pounded in her chest. In the dim light of the room, she saw them—

two glowing red eyes, burning like fire,

hovering just inches from her face. They didn't blink.

They didn't move.

They simply stared… straight into her soul. Her voice caught in her throat.

She couldn't scream, couldn't look away.

Oh God… what is this? The silence in the room felt heavy. Daisy watched in horror as the burning red eyes slowly descended toward her throat.

Before she could even scream, she felt it—

a sharp, piercing pain. Two fangs sank into her soft skin, right at her neck.

A cold shiver ran through her entire body. She gasped, but no sound came out.

It was as if her voice had been stolen…

along with her strength. Something—or someone—was draining her.

Drinking her blood. Within moments, darkness wrapped around her like a blanket.

And Daisy lost all sense of the world. Everything faded… into silence.

!!!

A garden—blooming, dreamy, and full of vibrant flowers. The air carried the soft scent of gardenias—Peter's favorite. Daisy walked slowly, her wedding gown flowing around her like a whisper of silk.

She looked ethereal, radiant, as if she had stepped out of a fairytale. The garden wrapped around her like a blessing, petals brushing her dress as she moved.

Then suddenly— She stopped. There he was. Peter.

Standing at the far end of the garden,

watching her with a gentle smile,

as if he had been waiting there forever. Her heart skipped a beat. Daisy ran toward Peter, her heart racing with hope and joy.

But as she drew closer, a cold wave of doubt washed over her. This wasn't Peter.

The figure's face was different—familiar, yet not his.

It was Ivan.

Ivan Sokolova—Vera Sokolova's lost son.

Suddenly, Daisy noticed her wedding gown was stained deep red with blood. Ivan stood before her, his icy blue eyes fixed on her with a dark, wicked smile—

Darkness has swallowed everything around her.

The bright sunlight that once sparkled here has vanished, replaced by shadows that creep and crawl.

The vibrant flowers now lie wilted and lifeless.

Birds, once singing joyfully, now rest silent on the ground. The air feels heavy—thick with silence and sorrow—as if the life itself has been drained from this place.

Daisy slowly sat up, her breath shaky and heart racing. But then she realized—it was all just a dream. A dark, haunting vision that had felt so real, yet vanished with the morning light.

She wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, trying to shake the heaviness lingering in her chest.

Daisy shook her neck gently, but a sharp pain shot through her muscles.

She winced, pressing her hand to the sore spot, feeling the ache settle deep beneath her skin.

Vera Sokolova arrived at Daisy's room, Daisy, what happened last night? Are you alright?" "You look very weak.

Daisy said nothing. She stood up and walked over to the mirror.

As she looked at her reflection, her eyes caught the bite marks on her neck.

It was real.

Someone had truly bitten her last night.

Her mind raced—her fears were no longer just imagination.

She said nothing to Vera Sokolova.

Only softly, she asked,

"When will Mimiya come? I want meet with her.

"It's been a long time since Mimiya last came." "I want to go to Mimiya."

"I feel suffocated here."

Vera Sokolova grew upset upon hearing Daisy's words.

Mila Golubev left you in my care, Daisy. You are my responsibility. You are not a child daisy.

I don't want to hear anything else. You had a terrible fever last night. My Ivan sat by your side the whole time, placing a wet cloth on your forehead. All night he stayed with you. My son does so much for others…

Daisy was stunned.

An unknown, unfamiliar boy had sat beside her all night?

Daisy felt a wave of anger rise within her,

but she couldn't show it in front of Vera Sokolova.

"Now stop standing there and come quickly to the dining table, Daisy."

Daisy, like an obedient girl, walked toward the dining table. But just as she reached it, everything began to spin around her. Her knees gave way, and she started to fall—

Just then, Ivan stepped forward and gently caught Daisy, Before she could fall, he lifted her into his arms.

Today, Daisy felt the boy calling to her even more closely. There was a strange enchantment in his eyes — a pull she couldn't explain. The boy wasn't just handsome; his physique was equally striking, sculpted and strong, as if crafted with care by the hands of fate itself.
